I'm sorry. This is laughable to me. I have used Yelps advertising and saw little to no results and if this were true they wouldn't be trying to force so many businesses into paying for advertising. I have heard countless stories about Yelp trying to extort businesses, actually filtering reviews until the company agreed to pay. I am thoroughly convinced that Yelp spends the majority of their revenue on fake publicity. Seriously.

this is funny because i was contacted by a yelp representative about paying for advertising on yelp a few days ago, there ad program i was offered was 350$ a month for a guaranteed 450 impressions , which after doing a quick google search there are tons of complaints about there CPM program and also that it doesnt give good results. i have heard to that they filter good reviews if your not a paying advertiser, funny thing is my business name is incorrect on yelp though i registered with the correct name so i changed it only to see it changed back 24 hours later, so i mentioned this while speaking with the ad rep she said this would be the first priority to be fixed once i became a paying member
