My reputation repair credo - the only thing better than jumping a negative property with a positive one, is jumping it with a positive that's blinged out with 5 star Microdata in the SERPS. So I was recently moving up a Yellowpages.com property toward the first page - it had 3 reviews with a 5 star rating, visible in the Google SERPS - but the microdata suddenly vanished once the property hit mid page #2 - this happened a couple weeks ago, and did not coincide with any additional reviews being added to that particular property. I am just taking a shot in the dark that somebody else is working with Yellowpages.com in a similar capacity and did, or did not, experience this same issue, or perhaps someone else has thoughts on the root cause. I have spot checked a few other local companies on YellowPages.com from the same Geographical area and they seem to still have Microdata visible in the SERPS - so I can only think of 2 possible causes. #1) The backlinking to the YellowPages.com com property tripped something in Google's algorithm, causing the Microdata to vanish? #2) YellowPages.com altered something internally that is causing some of the business profile pages to no longer display Microdata - perhaps some type of forward thinking quality control to ensure Google continues to show their Microdata over the long run - maybe they stuck in a filter, and the reviews on the particular profile page in question no longer made the cut?
