    Hi all.

I'm also brand new to mobile marketing. After months of kicking from one technique to another, with very little success (made a little on Clickbank, but they won't send me the check!), I have decided to take a two-pronged approach to local mobile marketing.

First, I'll get customers by offering an SMS text messaging platform to market directly to their customers. I am currently signed up for txt180 and twilio, and look forward to using both platforms. I will post with my findings once I have some tangible results. I plan to charge a $250 setup fee and $250/month maintenance fee. My service will include up to 1000 texts (incoming and outgoing), then an overage fee of $.08/message above 1000. Does this math seem right to you guys? Any feedback on pricing at this point would be golden, as I am currently working on my website and pricing sheets.

Second, I will sell my clients a mobile website for their business. This will be a very easy upsell once they see the SMS marketing working for them. I plan to charge between $300 and $500 for this service, depending on the size of the business and complexity of the site.

Arron Reeves just put out a great WSO called 'Offline Icebreaker', which is basically a script that shows you how to cold-call business owners. It IS a numbers game, but the script is brilliant! I am in the process of making a list of 200 local businesses to call for the rest of the week. I AM DETERMINED TO CLOSE MY FIRST CLIENT WITHIN 7 DAYS!!!

I have a few questions for the experts on the panel:

    1. Can anyone point me in the direction of a good website template that includes sales pages for SMS, mobile websites, as well as all the other stuff you might find on a mobile marketing website? Do you have any real-time examples of these sites that I could put my developer onto for design ideas?

    2. I am very concerned with marketing costs right now. Has anyone had success with this model: Approach business, GIVE business a free mobile website in return for a small, monthly hosting fee (say, $35), THEN upsell them on SMS later?

Any input into getting started would be golden. Thanks!
