I use AFM to sign up for new Web 2.0 accounts. Today I tried a Yandex mail. No one sent me emails to confirm registration. I received only 2 emails, both from Yandex, telling me how glorious their service is and how to make it even better.

Is Yandex slow or did I just waste about 2.5 hours building Web 2.0s?

2 web 2.0s that I normally sign up for did not allow a Yandex email to be used, but all the others registered and I even did some work on the blogs before I went to confirm the registration.

Is this a fluke or is Yandex something I should avoid.

Your yandex mails probably got locked up, if you used more than 3-4 registrations per ip. Yandex is a bit strict actually, you may left a footprint with cookies.
Try to send something to your yandex mails from different email to check.
