    Is this a must, just done a bit of research on my competition and all bar one of the top 20 are on Yahoo directory. We are not.

    Any thoughts ??

    You're smart to look at your competition and see what they've done. I'd get indexed by Yahoo ASAP if the rest of the sites are. Look also at getting into other authority sites such as Wikipedia, etc.

    Sign up for an account, find an article that is relevant to your website's niche and edit it with some additional information that includes a legit citation to your site. Be sure not to do this unless your site has good info/content on it though.
