I have some very important account details saved in a Yahoo email account, which I usually access from a proxy.
Well the fucking idiots wont' let me log in now saying they dont' recognize the device. So even though the password is right, they want me to answer the security question, which I have no clue what it is. After thee tries it locks me out for 12 hours.
Anyone have any idea what I can do?

Have you established a recovery email?
If so just say you forgot the password and send the new one to the recovery email.

Yeah I've been worried about shit like this so I treat these security questions like extra passwords and save them in a notepad file or something.

I hope Google one day doesn't screw people over for not verifying their accounts with a phone number.

PS. Try to wait it out for 24-48 hours and log in from a new device with a clean profile.

If you dont have a secondary email attached to that then you would try and see whether you could sign in from the device that you usually use and with similar proxies. Its a real tricky situation so apart from that the best of luck.

LOL @ the people just posting their experience.. that doesn't really answer OP's question.

Jon, your best bet is trying to somehow log into a similar connection as you first did.. that would be the only way I guess and then you can go in and change all your questions/answers.

Your reply isn't any better. You've just repeated what has been said by tendemo.

On the other hand this is a discussion board and sure some of the experiences may not help the OP but they may help other users.

    Just saying. :D

I used proxy (more than one) before and it let me in. Now I try to use my own computer it won't work lol.
I'll just have to attempt to answer the security question everyday till I get it lol. I tried about 20 different times already.

try to login, with similar origin proxy you used before, or with just any proxy and on purpose use completely wrong or similar passwords,
then clean cache etc. and try to login from your pc with right password. Its possible your account has been marked as hijacked due to IP change,

Worst case scenario. wait till it gets deactivated by yahoo and register again, that would take few months, and if bitcoin keeps going up, you wont end up loosing :)

This is why you always use the same recoevery password for every account.

    something1

never matters what the question ask. cause the answer will always be the same. Never been locked out of anything with this secruity measure i have in place

same here OP. one of my yahoo account is blocked and its asking for the answer to the secret question. So far no good, coz i can't remember what i put in the answer :(
i can understand what u're going through, but i don't think there's any other way to bypass it. Maybe you should try contacting the Yahoo contact support, just saying.

Woo hoo. I kept trying through TOR and it finally didn't ask for security question.
xxsaumitraxx, I forget where it was now, somewhere in help, but it asks you to log into your account. When you can't, it asks you for your security question. The thing is, it doesn't give you a three try limit. It lets you try numerous times. If you really need to get in, this way is probably your best bet. If it's really important like mine was, you could probably pay someone to create a program that will enter 10000 different words for the security question.
