I've never used Yahoo Answers to make money, but I'm thinking of trying it out, and I got a few ideas and I'm wondering if it's actually as easy as I think it might be.

    Getting to Level 2.

Register six accounts. Use one account to post *QUALITY* answers to questions. When it's over, use all six accounts to vote your answer as the best answer!!! (Is five accounts enough? I think so. I've got my answer selected as best answer...by just ONE vote, my own vote.

    Getting voted as best answer.

When you can post links, do the same thing mentioned above. Remember: QUALITY answers, so you don't get flagged!!!!!!

A question: When you post a question, is the one vote by the asker enough to be selected as the best answer?

    Ask questions/answer them yourself.

Got some Level 1 accounts? Use them to post questions, then use Level 2 accounts to answer them...with a link to your site (Remember, quality answer!!). When it's all over, use all accounts to vote your answer as the best answer.

The type of site you link to.

Don't link to a spammy ad infested page!! LINK TO INFORMATION!!!!!!! My idea is a page with a good long article...with an affiliate link at the end. If the article is long enough, also having a text link in the middle of the article, with the domain looking as much as possible that it's an info site.

    Keyword research/getting traffic.

Search for keywords that don't have very much competition there, and little competition in Google, but does get searches. I would guess over 10,000 searches a month. Post questions with the keyword in the question, and also the answer. Bam! When some one searches using that keyword, your question shows up, with a link to your site in the *quality post* selected as the best answer. Heck, maybe even promote your question pages using social bookmarks.

    Quality always wins.

Quality post and the link having information and not being infested with ads/pop-ups = never get flagged/banned. Is that about right?

Would you even need to worry about having the same IP address, if you always post good quality answers??

I'm thinking of getting multiple answers (quality answers!) written out and then rotate them. Not to mention, the same question can be asked in a bunch of different forms. The area I'm looking at, the same question is asked a LOT...think 590 open questions right now! So I think it can be really easy to make it look like I'm not posting the same stuff every time, if I have a bunch of different *quality* answers that I use.

Did I ever mention, quality answers??!!!

Thanks for the info. How long does it usually take you to get your accounts to level 2?

^ While you are on Level1 you can not post clickable(HTTP) links once you reach to level2 or higher you can post those links

Nintendo that sounds like a solid plan, the hard part would be automating it and scaling it up, although you could probably find a program to do that. Let us know how it goes for you

Does any one know how long it takes to 'age' an account? I hear new accounts are way more likely to get banned quick. While I'm guessing my current account, that was made way back in 1997, would need way more moderating to get banned!

    You are right.

That is why I hired someone to do the yahoo answers posting for me - to protect my 10+ years old multi-Yahoo Level 2-5 accounts.

Yes, Yahoo answers with juicy links are very valuable - as it stays there for a long time as well as nice natural traffic to my sites.

Try it and see. IP address would be a concern, but it wouldnt take you long to see if you could get away with it.

That is why the proxies (shared will work fine) are used for yahoo answer posting. I even helped my Yahoo answer poster to use the tools - which he's doing a marvelous job for me.

Your Yahoo Answers poster should utilize the shared proxies (as well as good answers that will have 50% chance of best answer) to keep up with the posts without any chance of deletions.

I think very old accounts automatically start with a ton of moderating power. I got a punny little Level 1 account, and I'm going around reporting posts that link to crappy spammy pages *cough*Clickbank*cough* instead of quality information pages...and all it takes is me reporting them and it gets deleted!!! Oh, that punny little Level 1 account is about 13 years old!!!

I think I now know what I'll do with this account! Forget about answering questions with links that might get it banned. I'll be using it to delete my SPAMMY competition!!! :D Then use other accounts and post a quality answer and link to quality information. Bye-bye competition!!! :D

Oh, if you wanna get some easy points, go to the 'Entertainment & Music --> Polls & Surveys' section!! Very easy questions like this aren't even important enough to bother showing up at the end to vote for the best answer. Spend 20 minutes answering as many of them as you can, make sure you are doing the ones that end today. Bam, come back the next day and vote for yourself using some accounts and you get to Level 2 very fast! There's currently 12,468 results there! More than enough to keep doing this over and over and over with as many accounts as you want to!!!!

OK, now that I got seven accounts up to Level 2, here's an update on my strategy after messing around with this for a few weeks.

    Getting to Level 2.

    Original answer...

Register six accounts. Use one account to post *QUALITY* answers to questions. When it's over, use all six accounts to vote your answer as the best answer!!! Is five accounts enough? I think so. I've got my answer selected as best answer...by just ONE vote, my own vote.

    Newer, much better method...

Go to this category and reply to as many of them as you can. Answers can be very simple. Remember, these are just polls and surveys. No need to mess with quality here.

You wanna make sure you're answering the ones that are about to end very soon, not in a week. With in a day you can then vote yourself as the best answers. In many of these, you'll be the only one that votes, so you probably won't need to use another account very much here. Easy points. It should only take answers from your first day of postings to get to Level 2. er, maybe not now, now that this tip has been posted!

Getting voted as best answer...in questions where you are promoting your site

    Original answer...

When you can post links, do the same thing mentioned above. Remember: QUALITY answers, so you don't get flagged!!!!!!

    New answer...

Simply post a very good answer, vote for yourself, and I'm guessing that's all you need! No need to use all your accounts to vote yourself as the best answer. If the answer is good enough, you'll get it. Now, if you're in a topic/category that has a lot of competition for links, then you'll probably need some help using your other accounts.

    Ask questions/answer them yourself.

    Original answer...

Got some Level 1 accounts? Use them to post questions, then use Level 2 accounts to answer them...with a link to your site (Remember, quality answer!!). When it's all over, use all accounts to vote your answer as the best answer.

    New answer...

Forget this one. I'll simply search for questions posted by others. In the area I'm going to test out first, there are a freaking 1,673 OPEN questions!!! :D I smell gold in them there searches!! :D I'll just answer the question with a long *quality* answer, and then I'll just use the same account to vote for myself. If the answer is good enough, and there's not a lot of competition for links, that's probably all I'll need to win as best answer. If it's good enough, other people will also vote for you.

The type of site you link to.

No change here. Link to quality. Think content, not a crappy ClickBank ad page!

    Keyword research/getting traffic.

For now I'll skip this and simply mess with something that has 1,673 open questions.

    Added...

    Keep from getting banned.

Since I won't be using a bunch of accounts, but only be using one at a time, I shouldn't have to worry about IP address changes nearly as much. When you're at Level 2, you can post 40 answers a day. I'm thinking of first replying to 20 or 30 questions on the topic that I'm using to get back-links, THEN run back to this category and post 10 or 20 answers. Just so I don't have every answer having a link, and the last answers in my history won't have links. For the poll questions, now that I'm at Level 2, I won't take the time to vote myself the best here. Not only won't I have a link in every post, but this will also keep me from ending up with 95% best post rate, both of them helping to keep my account from raising suspicions when people look at my history.

I'll also register multiple .info domains, just so all my linked answers don't link to the same URL.

If I post answers to just 20 questions a day that had my link, five days a week, that's 100 links a week! About 500 a month, or 6,000 in a year. And that's if you used just one account a day for posting!!! :D:D

I would guess that if you get to having 500 answers linking to you sites, if you're not making money by then, there is something *REALLY* wrong with you!!!

Something that I hear, has a lot of competition. *hint*Health section*hint* Though I posted an answer about an hour ago to a question...and no one else has replied to the question! Looking at answers, it doesn't look very hard to post the best answer! Heck, this category has 6,061 open questions!!

Simply search and it's not hard to find a niche that get's a lot of questions asked. Heck, the last 50 questions in this search were posted with in the last three hours!

My only problem with using Yahoo Answers has been getting a few accounts 'banned' because my 'good, original answer' pissed off someone else who provided a 'spammy bit.ly url' and flagged my response! :(

HOWEVER, I have found a 'temporary resolution' regarding this.

First, if someone 'flags' your response, you do get an email that says something along the lines of:

"If you wish to dispute this claim, please do the following"

And I've started to mention something along the lines of:

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
    "Dear Yahoo Support,

Regarding the email below, which indicates a recent 'answer' I provided regarding a specific topic has been 'flagged' for one reason or another, I'd like to point out that your very own T.O.S. CLEARLY STATE the following:

    "Share What You Know"

Thus, the answer I provided regarding (topic here) is entirely based on 'what I know' about the topic, seeing as I have over 3 years experience in (topic here) and therefore feel that my experience and knowledge can benefit even just one person who might find themselves reading this thread.

So, unless Yahoo is going to blatantly admit that they don't follow their own T.O.S., I feel that the flagged response my answer received was taken out of context and thus, does NOT need to removed for any reason whatsoever!

    Sincerely,

    My Name Here"
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

Within a day or two sending out/replying to emails from Yahoo Support regarding 'flagged responses" with the above type of response, I've seen fewer and fewer answers get removed.

Regardless, I still think WAY TOO MANY AFFILIATES inadvertently use the 'flag response' option NOT because of a spammy response, but because they're trying their best to eliminate the amount of competition in their targeted 'niche'.

Little update. I got 25 different high quality answers all ready to post and rotate. Let's say I was replying to a generic 'Why should I exercise' question. My answer would be something like...

Long, nice answer that no one would even think of flagging unless it was the competition, and it would be very easy for people/asker to vote it as the best answer, and if it got flagged, I think I would have a good chance of winning the delete appeal.

Then for the source box: Articles on exercising at http://www.lots-of-great-exercise-tips.info/ [not actual URL] is a great place to start for more information.

and the link will point to a site with a bunch of articles. (Think content and not spammy Clickbank page.) Then each article will have a random link in the header, and a selected link right after the article linking to Clickbank sales pages.

Since this is my very first time doing this, I'm going to start out by testing the waters by having 100% of the answers be quality answers with the link, with all posts linking to the same URL, instead of only posting the link every few answers and using different domains because...

    1. It's very easy to get a new account to Level 2 if this doesn't work and you get banned. (I easily got seven accounts to Level 2, as it only takes one days worth of posting, and then five minutes of voting for answers.)
    2. You don't lose all your answers if you get banned.
    3. They are very good answers, so it should be very easy to win an appeal. I'll test out H2oBoy's appeal reply if some one tries to delete it.
    4. I'm hoping to use just one account at a time. With answers like this, I think it'll be easy to be voted as the best, and not have to worry about getting banned from using duplicate accounts.

If this works, I'll be able to get way more back-links per each days 40 answers and every one learns that it is possible to do this...if you post quality answers, with links to information and not spam. If it doesn't, then I'll go to the having different domains, and have about 50% of the answers have a link. And yes, my answer profile is set to private!

I think I'll start on a new account every 500 answers, so I don't get to say Level 5...and then get the account banned!

I'll post on questions that end very soon, so I can see what the competition is like, so I don't have to wait very long to vote for myself, and so I don't have to worry about the competition trying to delete me as they come along to post during the five days.
