So I've read that you can make a pretty decent income from CPA and Yahoo answers and decided to give it a try.
Read a few ebooks about the method too, most of it seems obvious : answer questions related to your niche, plug your website URL, and also participate and answer some other irrelevant questions so you look like a normal member and not like a spammer.

Thats what I did. I built a page on paid surveys, put a few CPA offers and some info on surveys and encouraging people that the networks below are the best, etc with short reviews.

Answered about 10 questions so far, and actually wrote something meaningful that encourages the visitor to go to the site, and not just blatantly spamming the URL (like I've seen countless times on Y! Answers).

    Results.... pretty disappointing...
About 20 clicks to the site after about 2 days.
Total amount earned so far.... a whopping $3.00

    Now some questions...
    - Is this normal? Or did I screw up in some way??
Like how much traffic can you expect to get from Y! Answers? Do I need to start answering like 100 questions a day to see any actual results?

    - Am I simply in the wrong niche? Note that I am not selling anything, all the sites on my "landing page" are free to join CPA offers, no CC required or anything.
What other products you think could work?

    - Instead of building a landing page with banners for multiple CPA offers, should I just redirect to ONE cpa offer directly, is it more likely to convert that way?

Anyone willing to give some advice on this, or point me to a guide or site or something that can help with Yahoo answers marketing, would be greatly appreciated.
Note I am not trying to make $1000 a day with this, I know you probably CANT, would be happy with $100 a week... but at least something better than the average $1.50/day I earned so far!

Well GoldenTiger based on your current output-- 100 answers would equal out to $30.00 in a perfect world. The amount of time this would take you would be exuberant. Why not just rewrite 33 articles per week and make $100 thru AC?

    Yeah Money2Spare, I've tried AC.
I also wanted to experiment with other methods, while writing articles is "simple" i.e no worrying about conversion rates, ROI, getting kicked out the network, etc... it is a bit tedious.
Plus, the asshats at AC declined 9 out of 10 articles I rewrote, saying the content is too "general".

Yes, I will re-read the AC thread and try again, and also work with other article submission and freelancing sites.

The reason why I tried Y! Answers is that it costs nothing, and seems simple to do, plus I've seen claims of people making some good money with it.

The ebooks I've downloaded so far got the basic theory of how it SHOULD work explained, I am looking for advice of people using yahoo answers to get traffic on basically how to increase the CTR (so to speak) and to share some experiences, like how much traffic do you get per answer on average, etc.

Thank you, PM was sent, if anyone has some advice on Y! answers, pls post, or PM me if its something you dont want to post in public.

AC= Associated Content. There is a thread in the money making section, called "How to make $100 in a day" or something. If you want info on AC or article writing, there is a lot of info there.
Please post in the relevant thread if you need help with article writing, me + other members will help, I just dont want to get into it on this thread, as it will "derail" the original topic (Traffic from Yahoo Answers). Thanks.

    Hey Goldentiger,

I have tested Yahoo answers and it worked well. You have to make sure the following -

    1. your answer should not be too general. You can get a 100 word para written or write by your self which doesnot appears too general but can be posted to many questions.
    2. the landing page should have content and not just the offers. The content should be written in such a way that it provides information to the subject ( which was being asked by the seeker in Yahoo answers ) and also very short reviews of offers you placed on the page.
    3. Overall, the landing page should look more like you are trying to give lot of information to the visitor and not worried about the offers available on the page. Trust me, this sells.

I have applied same method and believe me with just 10 posting I got around 30 hits. I did not apply any CPA but with adsense the CTR was about 30%.

I am an article writer and can help you writing such sales page which will have potential to convert your visitors into buyers.

    Thanks

Try get hold of *********. I'll look up the thread (or you can do a search on BHW) It's an automated Y! Answers answering product. The creator limits the user numbers so it won't be picked up. It's a pretty cool product and increases traffic well:)

Yep, get *********. I use it permanently.

To answer your question - and I'm generalising here, because there are many variables - but 1 answer = 3 targetted visitors. 6 visitors = 1 click. Generally, Adsense clicks tend to level out at 20cents, so you could say that each Y answer is worth 10 cents. That formula works for me.

Keep in mind that those pages stay there forever. I haven't touched Y!A in a looong time, and i still get conversions once in a while from them.

Not when you're spamming the shite out of Y!A they don't! Well, the pages stay there, but your answers don't.

I have been using Answers for 10 days now and have averaged $30/day with it. At most I spend half an hour a day responding to posts (If my proxies are slow). Typically my acount is suspended within 2 hours of posting. There is some good competition in my niche ad other people's answers are sticking even though they direct to the aff site. I just said all this to let you know that it is very possible to make money with answers, you just need the right niche and landing page.

PS: My goal by the end of the month is to be averaging $60/day.

It is possible to make money with it... you just have to be carefull (which is sounds like you are) and also dont worry if you dont make the money all at once when you start.... those answers are there forever as far as im aware and so if you get best answer then your going to be getting traffic and hopefully sales for alot longer just with a few answers that receive best response :)

1.50 a day seems low now but carry on and you will suceed and eventually be making $1.50 an hour and all you do is answer a few questions every few days or everyday to keep it up and keep it building up....

i wish you the best of luck :D

Just try again. I havnd music download sites to be good. When people ask where to download music for free, tell them that downloading music for free is illegal in the USA and that you can download unlimited amount of music for a cheap subscripion fee from xyz.com

I answered like 5 questions, one of them got selected as the best answer and that best answer got me two sales=$50.

(Another sale got refunded though :p)

sorry, I picked up this thread late. I think very late.

While posting back to questions, one has to be very specific. For e.g. a question asking on which skin cream is best. Dont end up in educating the guy / gal about skin treatments, rather write down about creams - their pros / cons. And after the para ends, mention that you found the following websites which were helpful to you. Do not show them as source, rather mention them as your research on the web around that topic.

Wow man, this thread is over a year old. This was when Yahoo Answers was a gold mine... not anymore. They've got tighter and it's been spammed to death.
