    Hi Guys,

I'm running a strategy to answer quite a lot of questions on Yahoo Answers, about 350 of them in total that i can answer but i have a few questions. there are about 5 that are so niche related its unreal so will try with these to test it out. I have bought a level 3 account for this but wondering what to do for the rest of the industry related questions.

    - If i put my link in source to same website in all answers (no spammy sales pitch) will they ban me?
    - How many accounts would you spread 350 answers into
    - IF they ban my account will all my answers be lost?
    - I heard your account can be banned after a period of non activity, anyone know the rules for this? i.e. after how long
    - If banned for inactivity will my answers also be lost?

Thanks in advance, i couldnt find the answsers to my questions in previous threads so thought i might start a new one :)

I've had issues with them deleting my answers but not banning accounts. Even with really good answers and linking to a page that would truly help the person asking the question. I have only noticed this behavior in the financial niche. Have had good success in products and ecommerce doing the same thing

Remember that these links do not stick.

I do not put a link in all answers, not even in the source box, I mix the ones with links with some that just give advice.

Never had an account deleted, but I have had a couple of people report my answers and they get deleted.

You should mix it up, some with answers and no links, some with answers with link contained, some with answers and a link in the source box.

Usually I find they'll just delete my answer and not ban me if someone reports the answer. They deduct 10 points if someone reports your answer.

Generally I find no problem in my current niche in posting answers with my link but in other niches there's dozens of people trying to post their website too and they will report you trying to get the upper hand.

From my experience, I got my account banned for spamming comments with url shortened links in adfocus.. I think I posted like 10 comments, and it's the limit. Now I'm regretting ..

Don't spam and you'll be fine. Make good quality answers that actually help the person asking the question and add a RELEVANT link to your site. Don't just put a link in for the sake of it.

Don't waste your time with them... a lot of people have not found it funny maintaining accounts with Yahoo Answer.

I see it as a venue for fun seekers.

Thanks for the responses so far.

I think for the moment i'll answer the 5 or so super niche related questions with the url in source box (VERY revelant) with the 1 account and then do some testing with a few more accounts.

The great thing is, is that there are only 1 or two answers to these questions and their answers are simply WRONG, can't wait to give them the best answer they could ever be looking for.

Does anyone have any experience in setting up questions with 1 account, then waiting a few days, answering with another account (possible 2 or 3) and then picking yourself as the best answer?

I ask this as there are only 5 questions super related and might be a strategy to artificially increase this.

Also whats the backlink value from yahoo answers? I'm doing it for the backlink of course but also want their traffic if there is any :p

    Thanks again!

p.s. Any real different with answering/posting questions with Level 3 account opposed to level 2 accounts?

Dude I just want to say that Yahoo answer is the most strict discussion board I have ever seen. Its hard to survive there. If you share any link your post will be deleted :(
I have wasted a lot of money in Fiverr for these :(

Thanks for your opinion mate. Do you think this still applies if the info from the answer is discussed throughout the website you use as a source. So it actually looks like a source?

Stop spreading false information. I have a level 3 account that I built up myself. I've posted many links to my HubPages accounts with it, in addition to having a link in my answers profile. I've yet to have a single answer deleted, and have had several of them (with links) selected as best answers. Some of which, I voted for best answers myself with another profile (This is ridiculously easy since you can vote with a level 1 profile, and most answers don't even get votes).

That said, Yahoo answers isn't a strong source of linkbuilding..most answers don't rank well on Google - and it's impossible to predict which answers will rank before it's too late to answer. On top of that, a lot of links from answers to one site will probably have diminishing returns. Not to say it's a complete waste of time - if you enjoy spending time on the site, you might as well do it..I just recommend having many sites that you link to throughout your answers so it doesn't look quite so much like self promotion. I often times go out of my way to link to sites that aren't my own, then it's less spammy and most won't know which, if any, are intentional backlinks.
Another side note: Build an account yourself rather than buying one. It's not hard to level up (especially if you are giving yourself best answers). Make that profile related to one of your websites. (My answers profile is the same name/picture as my HubPages) And answer a lot of questions relevant to your website. It looks like you're actually being helpful, and the only reason you are leaving a link is because you already have knowledge on the subject. It helps build authority.

    1. Read Yahoo TOS
    2. Try to obey to them

I use yahoo answers for months. Yes, they will ban some accounts but if you do it right you can do it.
If you have good aged accounts your account wont be banned. But like I said read yahoo tos and don't link to spammy sites, thats it.

web marketing is funny for you?
this is a real business not a "cat and mouse" game.

I am very shocked how can people post reply and give advice for something that "a lot of people have not found"

yahoo answers are a great source of traffic and a great way to get juice to your site.

The link passes authority but not PR, and they will fall off in time. Use Yahoo answers for the traffic, let the SEO fall where it will.
