A pigeon hacked my YouTube channel and removed my official email from the ownership of the channel / transferred ownership; and now I don't have access anymore to this channel. I do not know exactly what happened but it did happen in just a matter of minutes. This channel is on a constant increase in views, subscribers, and profits, currently in the mark of $xx,xxx per month. The channel is not monetized with a multi channel network yet; was about to sign with one next month.

Below is a screenshot of the email received after it happened:

The frickin' Contact Us & Visit our Help Center are two of the most useless bullshits I ever encountered. No real help or way to actually get in touch with a real person with authority from there, pure trolling. YouTube's support community cannot offer real help on this matter, but for some reason I return 'home' to ask this, as all the other sources of help are pure crap.

What I think it may have happened, the pigeon hacker went to the YT channel's About Me page, saw the email, hacked the email and.. but that's not what happened I think. On this particular laptop, I think he simply did it all by hand via remote desktops or something while I was eating my cereals in the kitchen. Before I left, all was ok, when I got back, shit happened. Yet still, not sure again. I do have good security on my other laptops, but this one not so much so I don't wonder. But actually I do wonder.

So how on earth am I going to regain access to my own channel, if I cannot find any way to actually reach someone from YouTube. All I found was a phone number from some old forgotten blogs, where nobody picks up and I'm not even sure if that is really YT. Upon checking, the channel is still up, all videos in place. And about going to the police station to report this? lol.. I'd rather try my luck with the ghostbusters.

But I really cannot find any solution to this, which makes me think, maybe it's okay to go ahead and hack a shit ton of youtube channels, since nobody from Google seems to offer any sort of direct help towards this matter. If there's anyone around who may know what I need to do or help me with this problem, I can provide a generous gift/tip as well.

To me it seems ridiculous that this could be actually impossible to fix although I cannot find any solution to it so far. I mean what the heck?
If anyone knows a sure way to reach to them or what I need to do or has been through this before, please let me know!

That really sucks, hopefully there's a way to contact google/youtube directly.

Looking at the numbers you were pulling...you should have been assigned a manager.

Was it a branded YouTube account? Did you have a website, Twitter, Facebook, etc. all with the same name? If you make a big deal about it on social media and try to make it as public as possible that your account was hacked, that should give you some leeway into getting it back.

I firmly believe you clicked some crap email that linked to a malware domain and your laptop was what was hacked with a trojan most likely. Before you even begin thinking about youtube, you need to figure out how the hacker got in. Plug the security holes first.

Also, I've read (unconfirmed) that if you have 15,000 hours a month of viewing time that you are typically (or will be) assigned a case manager.

$xx xxx a month youtube channel and not even basic security on it like 2FA?

    That's on you buddy.

HOWEVER, here's a small hack I learned awhile ago :) Call google adwords support, get in touch with a person, and talk your way up to the right department. Be nice, patient and be very polite. I've managed to get in contact with many different google departments by working my way through their phone support.

I agree, if you can get on phone support with one of the google departments, keep trying to get extensions, transfers to other departments. take careful notes, get exact extensions and direct phone numbers as you go along so you can call back and keep trying. A day on the phone is worth $xx,xxx/mo

Do you have a firewall? If you don't have any firewall then you don't have any good security. Sorry for your loss. I hope somehow you will get your channel back. But you need lots of luck as customer service at google is shit!

PS: File police report. It may help you to get your channel back.

Mate, I am really sorry for this, but I am curious if you downloaded something weird or accesed some weird websites in the last period... Knowing someone could access your data easily is kind of scary...

Once you recover the account OP (which you WILL) , Id get a dedicated PC (or a VM) that *ONLY* accesses that channel. DO NOT use that PC for anything else, do not share on network or assign to a different subnet.

Heck, get a chesp, headless linux machine and remote access it to make any changes.

Firewalls can help, but are far from fool proof. Even deep packet inspection isnt a guarantee.

Please explain how a local police can help with what is likely an international event. Its not as if someone broke into the OPs house.

I have clients who were locked out by cryptolocker and were asked to send BTC to unlock.... I set them up with backups so they were not affected luckily, but the police would have done ZERO about this.
