You hear about all those people using Wordpress but iv yet to read a thread about someone whos getting good rankings from an xsitepro site. Why is that? Does it mean that few if any are using it or does it mean that WP is still king?

Id be interested to find out. My highest ranking Xsitepro site is a PR4. I dont think i have a WP site that ranks higher.

Who running Xsitepro with good rankings? Hell, i havent come across a site built using this tool in the top 10, not even the top 20.

    Whats your rankings?

difference between the two from my personal experience:

    xsite pro:
    - usually faster loading / less server load (static html)
    - easier to adjust / repair small errors on the site (as mostly static html)
    - good for static sites with not a lot of change
    - usually have to tweak every little item on the site for SEO individually and manually

    wordpress:
    - more customization of look with themes
    - more ability to customize "dynamically" with plugins (i.e. yet another related post plugin will automatically post 4 or 5 different posts that are similar to the one the user is watching)
    - better for sites where you want to involve comments and discussion
    - harder to adjust for php based errors in theme / plugins / etc.
    - more server load (as it computes each page, or caches it with a plugin)
    - some plugins will automate a lot of different manual tasks
    - very large support community

i've stopped worrying about rankings from the software, personally i'm using wordpress for most of my work - for me personally much easier to tweak the individual elements that I want to be adjusting

Ranking in the SERPs has got nothing to do with whether you use XSitePro, WordPress, Adobe Dreamweaver, FrontPage, hand coded HTML, PHP, Notepad, Microsoft Expression, Coffecup, Artisteer, Evrsoft, etc. SERP rankings has everything to do with Off Page SEO and to a degree On Page SEO.

I love Xsitepro... It's easy to use for a newbie like me.
I've several site on the first position of GG with exact search from 3 000 to 6 000.

I've tried WP but it's not for me... But I've 2 sites on first postion with WP...

So for me it's the same !
    Use the one's you love.
