You could try pinging them for free first :)

I have a nice site that lets you mass ping your URLs and it's free :D

Check the links in my signature. You can see the BHW thread where people are giving thanks/reviews and you can also click to the site. I advise you read the thread first :)

There are a few big differences in the pinging. Linklicious:
    - Fully offloads the work onto our servers and proxies.
    - You don't need to keep a browser window open 7 hours and hope to not get IP blocked by Pingomatic.
    - We track crawls and keep pinging until they get crawled. One ping isn't enough for all your links.
    - You can schedule out your pings over days or weeks to avoid getting sandboxed. If you ping thousands of links on your money site, get ready. :)

As long as you know what you are getting in to, free can be better than paid.

That's good to hear! It just goes to show how few links that are built get found naturally by Google.

Extropy, pardon my question...when a link gets spidered, that means automatically that it was indexed?

I just signed up for Linklicious a few weeks ago, and I had a quick question for you.

Let's say I upload a few thousand links and they are all pointing to my money site. What is the recommended amount of URLs to have per feed, and what time length should I set the pinging to?

I currently do like 50 URLs per feed and set the pinger to every 1 hour. Is that too much, too little, or what?

Just a suggestion, but you guys should have a guide that people can get after signing up with the best ways to use it. I'm probably not the only one unsure of what the ideal way to use it is.

    Thanks for the help.

Linklicious is money, love it! To answer your question though, you need to either ping or use linklicious because the majority of xrumer links are low quality and rarely if ever get seen by google so they need a kick in the ass!

Thanks for the nice words, guys. We see the results and are glad it works for you too.

    To answer your questions, J1218...
For our own SEO clients we always go with the default settings. 40 links/day is a slow drip that is safe for everyone. For stronger sites you can go up to hundreds a day with no problem. If you are linking to feeder sites or multiple pages on your money sites, you can multiply it up even more if you want.

We've seen people get sandboxed for a couple of hundred/day against the home page and I've done it most recently on a test where I was doing a thousand a day. We sent out a 'best practice' newsletter a month or so ago covering this stuff. Just submit a contact form and I or one of the guys will send it along.

We do plan on adding a little mini-blog to share the info. It's a bit low on the list though. :)

No, not at all. 'Indexed' or 'Added to the index' are commonly (but not always) used to mean that the link shows up when you use the site: operator. Google very rarely puts in weak links like profiles and comments just because it sees those links having little value. As a page moves up in importance (content on the page and inbound links) the likelihood of getting indexed moves up. Your indexing rate will go up some from using the service just because Google sees pages it used to miss.

The good news is you can rank your terms with zero links in the index. It's a measure of backlink quality for sure, but you don't NEED indexed links to rank at all. Look to the results - SERPs and sales. Use indexing rates or PR measurements for bragging rights, but not as a judge of link building effectiveness.

Try to index those links with the higher PR. IF i was you, i'd index about 50 backlinks a day which is safe. In a month its a good amount of backlinks without risking anything. Personally, i don't believe in sandboxing so i go for more.

Guess your definition of sandboxing is different than mine. I have a site that had the home page moving up until page 2 or 3 for 10 terms. I started killing it with 1000 links/day and as of Nov 30 2010 it was GONE. It has made it back to page 2 or 3 for a couple of days three times, but is still gone. Interior pages are still ranking just fine, though.

This is an extreme case. Usually a page will just dance away for a few days or a week and come back.

As far as sandboxing, I'm just saying don't ping hundreds of links/day against your home page unless it's nice and strong.
