    Hi
I have recently got a SEO contract with a corporate website offering Video Conferencing, a highly competitive keyword. My SEO knowledge is only intermediately and i was looking for some advice on whether using a program such as XRumer to use alongside my SEO skills would be useful. I understand XRumer's incredible power but could it harm a website of this nature??
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Is there any programs or way you could suggest to help with gaining Backlinks in a recommended method? Or should i just stick to doing it manually?

Amazing how a corporate website landed in the hands of a guy who doesn't have the least idea of what he's doing.

    Amazing!

why not just use three steps away for the main site, register a review type domain, then some web 2.0 then use XR on these.. keeps the primary domain safe, but remember XR is a tool and in the wrongs hands could fu-k up your SERPS etc.

is the site brand new? Is the domain old? You wont get sandboxed for xrumering the site-- I woudl xrumer all my competitors to death if that was the case.

    If indeed.

However I know enough from years with the blue chips that it really is more about who you know than what you know. The old boys networks are still very strong... can't complain as I made enough from knowing the right people.

Their competition finds out and they will exploit it for all its worth. Never on their main domain. I do SEO for a local web company and I will build grey hat links for their youtube video, linkedin site, twitter site, blogspot, etc, but never for the main domain. There are way too many alternatives. Would you do it for your own white hat site?

    and co

Hold on a second i asked a question about XRumer, i am familiar with White Hat SEO just not Black Hat and XRumer i have asked a question to try and answer my issues, not put the green light on for a load of abuse. I have not needed to learn Black Hat in any of my previous roles and i have asked a question in this forum to try and gain a better understanding of it.

My expeerience is that you want to never do this to your money site, or any site you feel could possibly be harmed. Create a hub or doorway page and then let Xrumer have at it.

Leave xrumer out of the equation all together. Go with what you know and build on that. Blackhat is something we do to gain a temporary advantage. You get the domain banned good luck. Why mess up a long term brand for a short period advantage. Does not make sense to me. Do the normal on-page and off page stuff and the rest will fall into place. This place is a gold mine but beware before you get ahead of yourself. Good luck with your new assignment.

Yea dont touch xrumer if you are looking to keep the contract or the companies reputation. Perhaps if you are only intermediate with your skills you could look at taking some of the money they pay you and outsource link building to a cheaper source. You still get some money, still get to keep the contract and all you do is manage it all.
