Hey guys. I'm all out of Xmas gift ideas and it's starting to get a bit too late to order anything online. What have you guys bought/made/done/whatever, and for whom?

I still want to get something for my mom, sister, two nieces and a few friends.

Happy holidays! :)

Same every year for me. Leave it till 24th then go down the candle shop / CD shop for my mum. DVD shop / book shop for my dad. DVD / Games console shop for my brother. Dealer's house for my other bro. :D

my familys all coming over to see us for new year so am buying them all a drink at the bar loooolz good job they are all over 16 (or there abouts).... cheap and cool at the same time and not just thrown away or to collect dust :p loool

Heres my list:

a ton of Organic Soaps thats smells so nice - friends/family
Aromatherapy Diffuser (Reed Diffuser) - people at work
Twilight Soft-Bound Books - girl counsins
Bakugan Action Figures - little cousins and godsons
Bratz Princess Dolls - goddaughter
Colored contact lens - for some dear friends
Shampoo, Cologne and Body Butter Set - for some people
a Dozen box of Ham - for some elder people

and list doesnt end there!

Im not a christian but I cant ignore this season of gift giving for its one of reasons I feel good whenever I see a smile on a child's face after unwrapping the gift.

My nieces are 6 and 7 so that's out of the question lol :D

Saucekit or BHU membership is a great X-mass gift idea. :)
Tru. That gave me an idea for my nieces' bday though, I could make a semi-automated greyhat website for them that generates like a few bucks a day, and maybe teach them how to update it and manage it, and increase profits. Would be a fun project and this way they can earn their allowance or whatever :)

They will be IM masters by the time they're 18 and r00l th3 w3rld.

Sorry for doublepost btw.

This is funny. Here is what I did and alot of you might laugh.

I did this for my 4 yr old daughter.

I took 2 old entertainment centers and I am making a kitchen set out of it, It is going to have a sink, Fridge with freezer, A stove with oven and a Microwave.

I went to a junk store and bought both entertainment centers for $10
Went to the dump and got a kitchen sink with knobs, got a flat stove top, and knobs for free. I used the access shelving for the fridge, freezer and oven doors. I think total I spent $25

Thats for a whole kitchen set. I Took pics of what it looked like before and I will post pics of what it looks like after if anyone is interested. It is awesome, Its better than any of the toy ones out there, 1- because it will last longer because its not plastic and 2- it was a hell of alot cheaper, Just needed a little imagination,

But thats what we did for my little girl.

Please dont tell her though, I am having a hard enough time keeping them out of the garage....lol

God! I wish to have the same energy and dedication as you! I barely have time to put on makeup when going out. Are you work at home dad?

Gifts like this make my cry, I remember my dad who passed away 10 years ago, he made us believed that santa is real and made every effort to give us precious gifts every christmas. We even slept very early on the eve of christmas just to make sure we wake up early for the gifts.

Please show the pics pls! Thanks

I am not a work from home dad. I actually cant make money online for some reason, With some help from my BHW family I have been getting some decent jobs from here... But anyways.

I guess I cannot relate to losing a dad because I never knew mine, he walked out on us when I was 3 weeks old. O'Well, I am glad he did that made me be a better father because I want to give my kids what I never had... OK. Enough sappy stuff.

But yea, we do that with our kids, We dont put nothing under the tree until like 3 am on x-mas eves, We make the cookies and the whole nine yards... Then after xmas we have my mom in Mich, create fake letters to each of the kids and tell them that he "santa" enjoyed the cookies and milk, and make it all personalized with their names and all, and they just get tickled to death. We have her do them because we tell them that it had a pit stop from the N Pole...lol... Smart little buggers..

Here are some before and some kinda after pics... We still have a little bit to go, but cant get the kids away long enough to finish it..

Sink Before

Sink After (we had to take the freezer door (the top) down and cover it

Stove before

Stove After (I still have to se the burners and knobs. and we are putting another shelve / door on top right for the microwave)

So theres my x-mas gift project. Like I said I spent total maybe $25...

I thought it was a mini set, its huge! lol

But it looks nice. Seems like it can last a hundred times longer compared to plastic toys
