Great tip. I've been thinking about testing something like this on the domains I no longer use. What has your experience been with long tail traffic and monetization of these installations?
If you want junk content you can just generate articles out of random words.
I forgot not everyone uses well crafted articles for their tiers.. I've been using readable, grammar free super spuns for so long I just automatically assumed others were doing it too.
Edit: Now that I think about it, I'm actually doing something similar to this on one of my experiment sites. I haven't seen the method I'm using shared or talked about anywhere but its getting me about 5000 words of free unique content per day, and new posts on the site gets indexed within 1 hour of being posted, no backlinks. I'm going to start backlinking it soon to see if it ranks for low competition keywords and maybe share it here in the future.
The main problem is that 98% of such articles are not readable, and links will be built to the articles, using probably scrapebox with auto-approve lists. This will bring death to every such low pr site.
These articles may be filtered, but I never saw a good article on the first/last article directory I made.
This sounds to easy... Thanks and Merry Christmas...
looks good.. well most people posting on those multisite thing are SEO experts and they may have a good spun article and good backlinks to there post making it index much faster.. and can be exploited if you want..
just my 2cents..
i have tried it few months ago and there were more than 300 articles pending at the end of the month.
and how many were worth using ?
You could moderate the blog and ban crappy article submitters with their shit articles and keep the better submitters with their quality articles. Then you could watch the stats to see which pages are getting a good amount of visitors and then implement some sort of relevant advertising.
but then again you wouldn't have much guarantee that you would get articles on the niche you picked or you would make a generic fit all site ?
This isn't a bad idea really. Couldn't you just whack Adsense in the theme and wait for the earnings to start rolling in?
yeah that's all you have to do.......?
I would not risk my Adsense account on a site like that. Most if not all of the articles are going to be spun turds.
I would check to see if it gets PR and sell some links.....
