Hi, I am fairly new to this forum (although I've lurked around on and off a few years) having come from the early days of dot-com (pre-y2k) I'm a bit lost on all the latest techniques at a detail level, hence I turn to you guys, who I know have a lot more indepth knowledge than I do.

Hence I am looking for one or may be two people to help me with my website businesses.

Primary site is a forum (which I will describe in a second) which relies on static banner advertising dollars:

Around 200,000 members (real not auto-generated)
Due to a catastrophic disaster lost around 4 years of content. Don't ask... it's a painful subject. I need to rebuild content - unique and in the areas of politics, religion, sex, drugs and rocknroll :)
Great domain that has been around for 7+ years but due to the event above, have lost PR too - hence I need someone to help me rebuild PR in the fastest way possible.
So to summarise, I need to create content via real unique user gen content (like postloop etc), as well as scraping content (like cScrape) and build PR. My key KPIs will be Thread, Post and Concurrent Users count.

I can start at $X (you tell me) per week for a person to work with me on strategy and tools that will be required and build a 6 month plan of action. If things go well, I will increase that to manage the execution of the plan over the 6 months (as well as pay for any tools/links/etc).

If you would like to work with me, I will review your posts on this site to make decisions on who I think I can work with. This is not a low-budget/startup/bootstrap type of thing. I know a lot of guys on this forum have some kick-ass skills - which I now lack - and having been in online business for 14 years now (geez I sound old... but I'm not promise! :) ) I am happy to pay for these instead of spending another 5 years studying ;)

Thank you for reading and please post here or PM me with your details and any thread links which you think I should read.

Hey man, "$X" per week as in $1-$9 a week or what man? I'm definitely interested if it's more than that though.

like corrupt said.. goto archive.org i think it is now.. and search for your site to see if it got cached there. i had the same thing happen where i lost an entire website and was able to copy all my content from there and get it fixed back up.

Can you elaborate $X per week please? Is it single figure only? Or you have in mind double or triple figures?

When you said $X per week, do you mean $1-9 dollars a week?

I don't generally do forum boosting, but I can boost your PR in the most efficient and fastest way possible within the 6 months with a reasonable budget. Drop me a PM if you want to work with me solely for this purpose.

    Hi everyone,
Thank you for all that sent PMs - I am sorry I didn't reply I am still under 15 posts ... I'll get that up today and reply (I did send an email to one that included that... hopefully you got it :) )

For everyone else, when I say $x I DO NOT mean $1-9 ... apologies for the confusion. I mean I will pay for results... I will pay $50pw or $100 or a couple of $100s per week... as long as I get the results I need I am happy to pay.

On elance I've spent around $10k (I will PM you my userid so you can check for those that are interested). Like I said... this is not a bootstrap project. :) thanks again

Thanks again to all the PMs, I am keen to focus on PR and some of the Penguin-friendly SEO (can we even call it SEO anymore?), I think I have someone who is suited.

Also I want to give you all an update on what has happened so far, which may help formulate your thoughts. I found a really awesome vBulletin developer to write up some scripts for me to re-populate my forums with many threads. This will give me a kick start with several million posts.

In addition, I've opened a Postloop.com account and will see how that goes for content. I am negotiating with an outsource firm that I know offline to supply 20 or so content writers (write threads on current news between each other) to liven up debate.

I am also going looking at vBET to translate my forum into many languages and run on subfolders (www.forum.com/{en|es|fr|..}) and am looking at spending some $ on SYSTran Server 7 (any feedback?) - it works out cheaper than using Google API at $20 per 1m characters.

So in summary, loading several million posts, reloading back 100k users, hiring content creators, translating and indexing in 32 languages.

Any ideas where I am may be missing something especially in light of Penguin/Panda updates of late?

    Thanks :)
