i have trouble understanding these terms. can someone explain to me? i see a lot of offers allows media buy but disallows contextual.

so mediatraffic, directCPV, leadimpact are media buy? or contextual?

or does it really matter if i cover up the referrer?

thanks

Media buying is buying banner space on a website (ex: somebody paid BHW so they could put that banner at the top of this page). Google will help you learn the rest.

so mediatraffic is contextual..
can you still use it if you cover up the referer?

Masking or blanking the referrer just has to do with where the click is coming from. If you have control over the link source, meaning if the link is coming from your site, you can play with the referrer.

HOWEVER, search this forum for some threads from CPA experts (I'm not one of them) to learn how to do that right if you're new at this. If you do it wrong and get caught, some AMs will boot you from their network and withhold your commissions.

Contextual - allows advertisers to target their campaigns using keywords or channel.

Mediatraffic and directcpv provide both contextual targeting and URL targeting.

I never use leadimpact
