[WTH] Create Firefox extension - Captcha Solver

I need someone who can create a Firefox extension that can solve captchas. I need an extension that works by itself, not one that connects to online captcha solvers (I'm using Firefox version 55).

I know it's possible, as I already have such an extension and it works well. But the one I have solves only numbers captchas, and the one I need created has to solve numbers+letters captchas.

I would suggest using some sort of OCR service anyways, the extension itself can't do what you want very well with high precision(considering distorted text reading from the image). My guess is that the extension that can do only numbers - does only numbers because of this reason.

Your example captcha looks simple enough to be resolved by using services like google vision. https://cloud.google.com/vision/docs/ocr

Depending on your usage, for an opensource(and self-hosted) solution, you can go with https://github.com/tesseract-ocr/tesseract

There is a javascript port of tesseract(thus easily usable in extension code) https://tesseract.projectnaptha.com/ and probably is your best shot if you really want to avoid using any kind of third-party services even if self-hosted.

Yeah it's helpful. But I don't really know how to implement any of these.

Yeah but how much can Xevil be used for free? I tried Xevil and it can solve the captchas wonderfully.

Your topic and project just was interesting enough to share my thoughts

I believe you can hire a dev here or on upwork for 100-150$ or less to do what you need by using tesseract javascript implementation.

Yeah, it's unlikely to find someone here, most people here charge an arm and a leg. I'd have more luck getting a reasonable price on fiverr haha

And Upwork, I don't really use Upwork, never have.
