Im sure im not the 1st, 2nd or 100th person to ask this question, but...
what in the HOLY hell is doing this.
Im ranked #1 on Google for my keyword and not even ranked (idk, say top 200) for yahoo. and THEN vice versa. i have a different keyword that im ranked #1 with Y and not ranked with G. They both are done clean.
Both using the SAME theme. same amount of articles, i mean i have looked these over and over. i cant figure out what the deal is. obviously G is the important one. No competition and i should be ranking with G!! Y clearly sees it! hahhaa

anyone have any experience with this?
im sure a lot do, but WTFUDGE SAUCE

either yahoo doesnt like you " actually your site ".. That may be a cause i have heard it somewhere Yahoo is still a classical Search engine "the days when spam was the key to success " :p

    The simple answer

yahoo's alogorithms are different to google.

I have had site perform well on yahoo and google.

Yahoo algorithm is being swapped over to bing in the coming months, my advice, dont concentrate any energy on yahoo .

i know i know... its just the fact that i DONT know and want to, lol.
i mean the one that isnt ranking on google,
    there is no comp
my domain is exact match to the 2 keywords.com
has quality back links and im using thesis
i dont spread out a lot. just focus on my keyword
Make a basic 5 page site.
and the domain is a couple years old, not just a over nighter

not to much for ANY search engine (for this particular keyword) not to like.
on paper its perfect. id think maybe there is something in thesis that yahoo dont like but the other domain that is ranking high in Y and not at all in G is in thesis too!

I have the same problem with a Thesis site. I am 1 on Google, but not even indexed in Yahoo. It also isn't indexed in Bing for whatever reason. Any thoughts?

^^NONE of my thesis sites are indexed by bing. they have some RIDICULOUS process for submitting (was at least) i was saying F-bing, but they said yahoo and bing are merging?? Yahoo has already replicated the look of G

I have more sites which have more pages indexed Yahoo than Google but traffic wise Yahoo sending nearly nothing at all when Google sending 3000+ for each of these sites.

Whenever I ask the same question OP asked I get usual answer like optimize the site to Google and Yahoo will pick it up too. But thats a total BS.

I am wondering about this too, top2 in google but nowhere in yahoo or bing.

I mean what are their algorithms based on if not backlink relevancy, good content and on-site optimization etc?

It makes no sense! Do I need to stuff keywords somewhere at the end of the page to rank for them? lmao.

I am using self made CMS so there is no wordpress or such bias either.

So they give extreme importance to domain age? That's just stupid :(

yeah youre right. sometime the result has very different. i think the algorithm are different each other. Y and Bing maybe just indexed the age domain. thats why G always be #1 SE
