    You worked at NASA?

Well, that's how they fuck you, they give you a big paycheck which puts a smile on your face, and then they get half of it back through taxes. lol

It happens, that's why filing quarterly is smart (although they don't penalize anymore its actually mandatory but you don't really have to, you are supposed to).

Best bet is to talk to an accountant and settle/make a payment plan.

Did you not have an accountant when you were making that much money?

You don't get taxed what you don't earn.

If you worked for NASA and could afford to donate 15k to charity then I am sure you can afford to pay your dues like everyone else has to.

But since you got yourself in this situation I can't see you being smart enough to work for NASA doing anything.

this has nothing to do with offshore accounts, or anything else you can think of. i will say it again, its all in the law books.

Sounds like you got yourself into this situation and didnt handle your finances properly. Tax time is never a surprise for anyone with a handle on their finances.

    Taxes are fun aren't they?!?

You deserve to be punished for thinking outside the box and making a living for yourself.

    Do you have any employees?

Shoot me a PM if you'd like and I have some ideas for you for this year.

PM's sent out for more info..

As far as paying, i did everythingby the book. When i worked for NASA I was a contractor with a year long project so taxes was no being taken out. But besides that I had my Im earnings and my offline biz, so its like a total of different income streams.
