Yea so my site watchwatchmenfree.com is ranking first in the big G for "Watch Watchmen Free" and theres nearly 10 million results and I'm first. Still though I'm barely getting any traffic from it. I was 3rd for watch watchmen online a week ago and was making $20 a day but it seem's strange I'm so high for a result yet I'm barely making nothing :(

    Anyone has any ideas?

There is either not enough people that are searching for your targeted terms and/or your Zango is killing your conversions.

A lot of people in the movie downloads niche are used to Zango and know what it's all about and thus ignore and search around some more for a site that actually lets you watch the movie without any action.

Also Watchmen was released last week. In the movie download niche, it's all about getting in early. You will see much higher conversions because want to see the movie before it comes out in theaters.

not a lot of people search for that i guess and you only have 6,810 real competitors against you for that keyword so it's extremely easy to rank for that.

    Results 1 - 10 of about 88 for intitle:"watch watchmen free". (0.12 seconds)

Easy to dominate, but, google keyword tool says not enough data for watch watchmen free. mind you google says the same about watch watchmen online. Which made you $20 a day. Strange. Well maybe googles keyword tool is just slow.

Yea SERPS don't convert as well as facebook or youtube traffic. I'm still getting a 1:10 install ratio which is pretty good.

As long as the movies is still showing at cinemas or it's been released on dvd, there will always a demand for it. My mate made $400 in one day when the dark night came out on dvd so there is money to be made :p

Indeed, Just have to find one. Zango is pretty easy to promote though.

Yea I was thinking that since I made that much from watch watchmen online I would make somewhat more then I'm making now with watchmen free :p

Indeed, but at least it's something :p

Damn, at least write some content if you want quality traffic on a one page site. Was that triple or quadruple spun?

Correct. If Cyberhub didn't take 10 billion years to write me some articles I would have put some unique ones up. Still waiting and I ordered the package nearly 2 weeks ago.

    Hmm in what way?

Ok I'm interested. I'll give you a PM later on.
Well considering I've only spent $8 on a domain and $20 on articles I've made a decent profit out of it.
Lol yea I could, the conversion rate would probably drop to like 5% though :(

Yea true but you can easily move along and do another movie. I've found movies easier to promote then TV series because competition builds up after time and there is way more maintenance with the site etc. Then again it's more profitable if you succeed :)

For me, the top fold really sucks.

You should really think about putting your call to action up there first. Not some video preview that people will click and watch, then leave. Who want to read about a movie they've seen previews on TV, the theaters, heard from their friends at work, etc.

I always put my call to action - monetization, right in their face when the page is loading with no scrolling needed. Then I add some more, subtle call to action in the body, or middle of the page in the right sidebar, and another big, in your face call to action at the bottom of the page, like you did.

But yeah, if there is "Not enough sufficient data" in google, then I wouldn't touch the thing.

I wouldn't install a damn thing as a visitor either if I want something free, I'd rather enter an email, or zip code, then get redirected to a download or viewing area...hint hint...

Cheers for the advice man. Yea the site was orginally more or less like what you said but I changed it round hoping that conversion would increase. And they have but maybe I'm not doing something right. Yea well when I get these articles I'll post them on the landing page and re order the content.

Yea I have a couple of networks that locks the content until you do a survey. But the conversion rate is generally lower, around 5% and since theirs new surveys the conversion rate can fluctuate like crazy where as Zango is pretty constant in terms of conversions.

But once again, thanks for the advice.

@matsta - Of course there is always a demand for the movie downloads niche. But you I think you missed my point. Timing is everything. Of course your friend made $400 in day when Dark Knight came out on DVD.

    Why?

Because there is new spike in traffic since people are either looking for the DVD or looking to watch it online so they don't have to pay for the DVD.

But your movie is already a week old and most people that either wanted to watch or download it have already. Maybe when the DVD comes out, you can try to promote this again, but my advice would be to move on to another movie with bigger buzz around it.

I'm not saying any of this to come down on you, but I speak from experience in the movie download/movie buzz niche. It is a great niche that has brought me lots of cash, but it takes a certain way to go about it to milk the max amount of $$ you can from it.

Actually, I don't think the hype has died down significantly for his niche yet -I've been looking for a decent quality version online since it came out and it's still just the same shit cam version that's being plastered everywhere. I've gotten so fed up that I've decided to just pay for the damn thing and watch it in the movies this week. Nevertheless, I'm sure there's still a decent amount of people waiting for a good quality rip, not sure if you have one though.

Still, anytime I see Zango on a website I immediately click the back button and vow to never visit that piece of shit domain again. -I absolutely despise the criminal annoyance that zango poses to me and I'm sure there are others that do too. I can't really judge the average searcher, but in my case if I see a site containing any dl or survey or some other shit I need to fill out before viewing the movie I don't even touch it. What for when there are millions of well known sites that don't put me through that shit?

That said, I would imagine you'd be better off with a CPA offer of some sort, preferably something relevant... IDK when the DVD is coming out, but you should probably start optimizing for that as well so you can get a head start. I read it's going to be a Directors cut with a lot of extra footage so the nerds will eat that up in a heartbeat. You could easily upsell them some action figures on ebay, vintage comics and other crap if you can find the appropriate affiliate program.

Yea, I tried CPALead today. Made over $20 and my conversion rate has jumped to 18%. I'm really happy about this. Gonna try this method with some other movies now.

Cheers man for the advice, I sent you a PM. Suppose your not interested?
