<meta content="CB06C50F879149AD8DFEDFB631C0563F" name="msvalidate.01">

I scrolled through the source code and I'm not understanding what you are asking or referring to.

Ok, I have removed link (as you could go by yourself and check) and post meta sample.

They aren't tactics... they are just site ownership verification tokens... to prove to 3rd parties that you own a website. Google webmaster tools makes you verify and other services do as well.

Well something stinks here.

Website is already in top 10 for impossibly difficult keyword - I am looking something much deeper in this...

verify-f1 is used by google
msvalidate is used by bing webmaster tools
im guessing y_key is used by yahoo

All to proof you are the actual website owner :)

Well, something may stink but those meta tags have nothing to do with it.

Exactly.

You can either place these meta tags in the code or upload a file to your site to prove you are the owner.

There is nothing wrong with these META Tags. You say you are VERY VERY VERY EXPERIENCED SEO EXPERT LOLZ... You should have known abt it. It comes under basic and very first steps of SEO On Page.

GTFO.

If you dont know why I started this thread, then do not waste our time.
Viagra websites are ones that are the best in finding out SEO secrets and if they have some meta tags in their code that could mean something.
Then if for you it comes under basic SEO then use your brain and think that there is possibility that there is more.
Whatever man.

As already mentioned, way before you got in strop with someone for questioning your genius. (Although you could have probably Googled them...)

One is Google webmaster tools, the other Bing Wwbmaster tools and the other is for Yahoo Site Explorer... So yeah, those metas are making them top in a seriously undercover way...

Why did you create this thread?

they are most likely using an SEO tactic or tactics to get good juice, that could be it and if it stinks well Google will find out one way or the other:spider:.

As others have already stated these are tags that prove that you actually own the site. When you add your site in Google Webmaster tool, it will give you an option to past meta tag on your page so that it can verify its ownership. Lots of other site give similar tags, including Blogcatalog
