WTF is up with paypal

Okay, I'm buying some stuff from a site.
I click on buy now button, get this pay now page.
When I enter the details (email and password) it comes up with this:

I'm entering the email in correct format i.e. [email protected] but it automatically changes it to UTF-8 and gives me that error.

Anyone having the same problem?

Nope, mines been fine. Try a different browser perhaps?

Damn.
Still not working. Tried from another PC and the the got the same error...
Not sure why is it changing it to utf-8.

Maybe its a problem with the setup of the website you are trying to buy from. You could always give PayPal a call and see what they have to say about it.

I'm not having any other problems than the usual ones while using PayPal

Mine is working fine .

Try changing the registered email address , by adding another and making the new as default . That will still keep the old alive but you can use the new to log in .

try making a new email with ASCII chars only as opposed to unicode, associate it with paypal and try using that one.

Good point. I always check the URL before entering my PP/CC details though

yeah, its probably an issue with the website you're buying from. paypal is working fine for me
