"Do you really think, the domain is that strong?
I am a little bit surprised about your figures.
There are only 20 easy Backlinks and Sistrix tell me 0,00."

    When in fact it was:
    UR19,DR28,RD25,TF8,PA18,DA20

OMG. they will never stop using this rubbish tool from .de and this strange whatsover crap metric.

so much for "easy backlinks". what a morron....

really interested about @Nargil comments what he thinks of the "sistrix" metric ;)

I don't think it's the backlinks that affect that ranking , but how much you rank and how visible you are in search engines

Sistrix basically delivers a "Sichtbarkeit" (visibility) score, that's caculated on top 100 rankings for the keyword set they are monitoring. If you are ranking prominently for loads of high volume terms with high commercial value, you got a high visibility score. If you are ranking for terms with low commercial value or volume, it's lower. If you have a huge site with loads of rankings in the 20s and 30s, you may have a much higher visibility score than a small site ranking #1 for a few terms, although you are surely making a lot less money than the small site that ranks well.

The metric isn't flawed, but has its disadvantages, like all metrics:

    1. If you are in a narrow niche and don't rank for keywords in their keyword set, you will have low to no visibility. Doesn't mean you have low traffic or a crappy site, just means you don't rank well for the mainstream terms covered by them. As far as I know, they are monitoring about 30.000.000 keywords monthly, but the visibility index is calculated on a set of 250.000 only.
    2. Only really usable for DE/AT/CH.

Sistrix visibility became a bit of a "PR substitute" in german language countries, especially for paid links, although it's no indicator for commercial success or strength of a site. It's great to compare really huge sites, big online shops, large magazines. It's pretty much useless for smaller sites and more exotic topics. Was also abused in the past, since some clever agencies that were able to identify a larger number of the keywords contained in the 250K set started optimizing for these terms only to show their customers extraordinary "success".

Bottom line: Johannes is a really nice guy and build a great tool, but the target audience is agencies and owners of large german language sites. Only for them it's really useful. Pretty expensive, too, the full suite is like $500/month. But hey, they have more employees and yearly revenue than ahrefs, so they must be doing something right.

I thought Sitrix was calculated by dividing the DA by the PA and then multiplying that by the HA, then adding in the TA, then dividing again by the age of the site, and then multiply all that by the number of freckles on the domain owner's ass. But my math could be off.

to sum it up, it is the most useless metric of all out there..

but thank you for the idepth explanation. I guess even the sitrix guys cant explai it better.

and honestly.. 30 million keyword monitored? I doubt that. maybe once a month max..
    ahrefs monitors
    Germany: 102,296,905 kewords. DAIL.

    keywords btw.

and there cralwer is 2nd after google. so hell no sistrix would do a 1/3rd of them ;)

it still wonders me why the .de guys are so fetish with this value.

    hence, domainpop has more use!
