WTF is going on? 17k unique hits?

I own the domain http://www.realrelease.com didn't do anything with it really besides some youtube advertising but the account got banned never got any serious traffic like 17 hits a day.

I checked in my cpanel today and saw 17k unique hits last month, and 939 unique hits yesterday.. I go into my actual stats for the months and I see no 17k hits.. but i do see the 939 for this month WTF is going on?

Is it screwed up or am I actually getting mad traffic?

In stats says traffic coming from:
Direct address / Bookmarks 1210 100 % 1210 100 %

you sure your site hasnt been compromised?

What the f is going on? I'm setting up a real counter to see if this persists.

Figured it out.. it was my program sending hits to a .php file I guess it has 1k+ infected comps.. now to take advantage and pop up and ad or CPA offer haha
