I think my ISP has blocked bhw :(. This makes me pretty mad so I'm using a proxy. Is anyone else having problems connecting here?

Sometimes i cant connect due to server overload or something like that. But otherwise fine.

What makes you think they are blocking it?

What comes up when you cant connect?

    Whos your ISP?

Yeah I thought it was a server issue but I got suspicious when I started using a proxy and it loaded up just fine....

A "this link appears to be broken" firefox page comes up when I don't use a proxy otherwise.

    Embarq suuuuuuuucks.

Try tracert and see where the block is. Could be anywhere and not just the ISP. I sometimes have a problem like you and can still connect via a proxy. Also try ipconfig / flushdns at the cmd promt.

I have the same problem. I have 2 internet connections: one with Hugues.net (Direcway) at my office that shows the connection from USA and another at home that reflects my country.

I always have problem with the Home page of BHW at home. Never can see this page. It's a real pain.

I do not bother about is because I don't have any problem with it. Though, some of the members in Black Hat seem to have a lot of it. Is there any restriction for the users of Black Hat World?

Sometimes that happens when my website get moved from a server to another.. usually it is a dns problem, not the ISP blocking sites.. usually this corrects itself in like 24 to 48 hours.

Yeah but why would proxies work but not my I.P.? I mean if it's name servers were talking here then there should be a total blackout....I'm trying to see what's up with tracert but my I.P is working right now.

I have Embarq as well and I have been having this problem as well. Firefox says "Page Load Error" and complains it cannot find the server. It works every now and then but I still have to resort to using a proxy.

As I told you, that happened to me.. with proxies my websites worked. it depends on the DNS of the sip the proxy is on.

pewep, in another thread you said you supported ATT's decision to block certain website's at their own discretion. now that your ISP appears to be blocking BHW, do you still stand by that statement? Haha.

So any ideas as to why this is happening? Here are the results of my traceroute, hops 1-4 were all local.
