This is somewhat hilarious although fairly depressing cause I've never experienced this type of link loss before.

Its NORMAL for me to lose like 5-10% of my backlinks but on some campaigns I barely lose any cause I manually
spun the articles on those campaigns.

Over the months I've become lazy and since it takes like 1-2 hours to spin an article, I've gone over to auto
spinning. And I started off scraping lots of text, then spinning every other word and phrase only 3 levels deep.

Now those campaigns didn't have a lot of link loss. But I didn't like the fact that the spins were shallow and small.
They were readable (good enough) but I was afraid of duplicate content issues since I was doing like 30k-80k links
    per campaign.

So to try and avoid duplicate content issues, I made a rookie mistake. And I started autospinning EVERY word and
phrase 5 levels deep. So I'd wind up with these massive spintaxs, that were barely readable, but were highly
    unique.

And one of my newest campaigns, it took about 2-3 weeks to get up to 65 links. GSA tends to slow down around
that point, and I noticed my links going down to 63K, so I prioritize the campaign to churn links out faster. This was
    last week.

Well this week, I checked the backlinks on that campaign and they dropped down to >>>> 1.5k!!!!!

Something is weird about this..... like really weird. I don't understand how I lost that many links that fast, even if
the articles were shit it doesn't make sense to me. Its like everyone decided to moderate their sites during the same
    week? Is that even possible?

I realize you can lose a lot of links with shitty spintaxs but I NEVER realized you can lose 95+% of your links over it.
And I never realized you can lose them that fast.

I just don't understand how I peaked at 65k so fast, then dropped down to 1.5k.

Is there anything other than a bad spintax that could have triggered that type of link loss?

Has anyone else lost 95+% of your links? I'm going to duplicate the campaign and try using a better spintax to see
what happens. But when you look at my links in ahrefs it literally looks like my links jumped off a building and died.

    Its pretty f##kn crazy.

I lost ~119900 backlinks in last five minutes.. I don't know what the fuck is going on... Hoping it's just something wrong with ahrefs

LOL. You might be right about ahrefs being screwed up. Because when I put the link in at first, ahrefs wasn't pulling any data. It just sat there with its arrows spinning and wasn't loading any data. So I went back to Google, cleared my cache, went back to ahrefs and it did the same thing. But after like 20-30 seconds it loaded the backlinks and I was like WHAT THE F##K!!??

But if you lost that many links that fast.... it HAS TO BE a bug in ahrefs.

I'll wait till tomorrow I guess and see if anything changes.

Have you checked to see if the links are live or you rely only on ahrefs?

Hey man, I just checked about 20 links manually and they are all up. But how would I check 65k links to see if they're all live?

I exported all my verified links from GSA. And I imported the urls into scrapebox and I'm trying to see if there is a way to check if ALL the links are live. Is there a way to do that in Scrapebox? Or maybe GSA has an option?

edit: nevermind, I found a way to check in both GSA and scrapebox. They both have an "index check" feature so I'm trying it right now.

I've found ahrefs is sometimes glitchy. I have a site that I am basically having sit there. No promoting nothing. And over the last few months ahref shows links lost, then links gained. It's always old links of mine - unless the webmaster removes and readds the links over a period of 5 days. Which I doubt. I think the ahref bot glitches sometimes or the website is down and the links "disappear"

    You can check:
    1. if the page is live (404 and shit); page indexed is a different story..
    2. if your link is live on the page; I guess this is what you're after..

Have you tried using the option to re-verify in ser? That'll make ser go to every verified url you have and check if your link is still present. It's usually a really good idea to have this checked if you're doing tiers, as it's rather pointless to make tiers to a url which doesn't contain your link.

That sounds weird. Export the links on scrapebox and see if they are returning a 404 not found error or not. Only way to check out.
