Hey guys, I got this problem.

I was on the first page of google for my main kw for my blog for about a week. Now I cant find my blog in the serps... but it's still indexed by Google, I can search my URL and find it.

    What the hell has happened?

The only thing I do to promote it was creating a linkwheel with duplicate content (one article written by me on each web 2.o properties) and registering on HIGh pr site that allow in some place to display your anchor text link (******** of course. I have some good lists of links for that and I offer link building for third parties - ie grunt job)

Do you have any idea of what I should do??

PS: backlinks on a ******** PR 0 page of an High PR Page actually works very good for rankings.

Umm.. yeah, you've probably just been sandboxed, anyway. Do not despair, it can be fixed. There has to be a "sandbox" thread here somewhere.. gotta take a look around or ask for some "professional" advice.

    Good luck!

Yea the link wheel with dupe content will get you in the sandbox.

Happened to me about a week ago.

Try to get as many different kinds of links as you can.

Thanks guys... do you have any idea how to get out the sandbox?

Just waiting? Is it gonna take long time, and are there any way to accelerate the process or getting back our position asap?

Thank you very much to everybody

Not to depress you, but ive seen it last as long as 6-8 months. You're best bet is to chill, and like kainehabe said, start on something new. patience.

think of it like getting slapped for getting too "handsy" way too early in the evening..it may take a little while..but eventually you'll be allowed to 'go there' ;)

get rid of or rewrite the dup content, alter your main content slightly, and get some manual quality backlinks - digg, delicious, reddit, furl, and some .edu and .gov if you can.
i know some will disagree (nobody knows everthing) but changing your sites ip can have some effect. Even though the domain is the same, a new ip will cause googlebot to use different parameters and may refresh your index. Search BHW for some more tips and with a little time, this should get you out.

All of the posts so far in this thread offer some really good advice. The painful part is waiting for the domain to be refreshed. Nobody can really be sure how long this is going to take, it could be a few hours to a few months. Keep your linking campaign running, stop using duplicate content, vary your anchor text to cover more pages on your blog/site (besides your homepage), and when your domain shows up again it should be in a good position.

I think if you type in your site name in google, and see that its not the first site it means your sandboxed. So if your site is yourdomain.com type in google yourdomain (no spaces).

If theres another person with the .net or .com version then its hard to tell.

Hi brian, If your site is new and has just been indexed by Google it usually ranks higher for a while.

Plus, Has google any reason to punish you and kick you in the sand??
Did you play dirty? (let's say, an unnaturaly fast link building to your site??)

    let us know ;)
