    Hey guys,

Having a really strange problem here.

I set up a Facebook page for one of my sites that is about 6 months old. I went to add the url to the info section but it wouldn't allow me saying thats it been blocked by Facebook for abuse. The thing is, I have never posted a link to this site on Facebook before. And I can't see any of my visitors doing it as I am only getting around 100 visits per day, and they are all from Google. I've never seen a single visitor from Facebook.

Any idea how this happened? More importantly, and idea how to get Facebook to start allowing me to post links to my site? I just tried creating a "Like" button to use on my site and I can't even do that!

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I too have noticed that Facebook is getting shirty about placing urls in Friend Request messages.
I used to send out spun messages in Facebook Friend Requests every day and they always included my URL. Then all of a sudden, it won't allow me to place my link in the message.

Yea that doesn't exactly help me. You were spamming a url and Facebook eventually blocked it, that seems fair. In my case, I never once posted the url on Facebook and its already blocked! Doesn't make any sense to me!!!

Your on a shared hosting environment?

    They blocked the hosts IP.

This used to happen when I was hitting FB real hard they would block my sites
IP address. The solution is to get a dedicated or VPN and order new ip's and assign
    them to your domains

It is a very brandable .com. The site is currently PR2, and is completely whitehat. It is a coupon code website.

This site is hosted on a dedicated server. Only I have accounts on this IP, and I have not posted links to any of the sites on this IP.

I simply don't know what to do!

    Contact FB.
Then tell us what they said.

It makes no sense to get such kind of penalty for nothing.

I got an automated response back from them saying I should post my issue in the Facebook developers forum. I went ahead and did that, but no one has responded to it....
