WTF Facebook Group Not Sending Messages

I have over 4k in group sent message but did not go, I know this because I have a few accounts that are members and they did not get message, but when I look in sent folder it looks as if it was sent...

Is this truly weird or am I missing something, I rarely send so I could not imaging Fb kicking up a stink.


Anyone got any ideas

If you have over 5000 members you cant send a message right?

same thing happening to me , have tried re opening group , changin message , deleting a few members and still wont send , mine has 4900

same thing here, with a group of 3600

sometimes it gets sent or not depending on the content of the message

not everybody gets the message straight away, it takes a couple of days to send 4,000 messages, you aren't the only person sending messages on facebook.

The issue is with Facebook....not the size of the message etc.

Everything worked fine yesterday and for some reason today it seems to be down.

Do you think this has something to do with new TOS

I sent message early last week and did not send - just noticed last few days..

If you cant send messages on groups whats the point

i noticed the site is a little buggy too ... slow on updating ...

FB has this issue for Almost 3 Months now

Facebook has blocked delivery of all messages from unrelated sources or large groups/events to the individual receiver. This means messages sent from open or closed groups approximately 250 members or larger will not be sent to any members, followers, fans, attendees etc...

This is ont of the most damaging things to happen to online promoters in the history of social networking.

Facebook is rolling out a combined IM, TXT, Email, Web-Mail, facebook integrated messaging system as we speak. In the new system messages from group or send from people who are not "friends" or friends you do not interact with on a regular basis will be moved to one of 2 inboxes. This second inbox does not give alerts when messages are received ... essentially this is a spam mailbox.

You can see previews of this system in the help center on facebook. To join this new system you need to "request an invitation" and wait for an email with a link to activate this. Once activated you can invite a maximum of 2 friends to the new system ... this is how they are rolling out the system.
