I'm finally writing my first ebook, and going to be monetizing it with sharecash. I was wondering how long should it be for a free guide,I'm thinking about 2,000 to 3,000 words but I'm not sure if that is too short.

Such a loaded question. Depends on your guide, niche, goals of guide, etc.

But for a free teaser guide, try something ~ 6-10 pages, with an title page / intro section.

As far as word count, just say enough to educate and show that your money book is worth buying. Hell, that can be done with a 2-page report!

If it's really good and you BELIEVE that it's going to be useful for many people, simply get the highlights and fit them in a 2-3 page teaser for marketing purposes..

also, get at least 2 well-known people from the niche to do a free review for more credibility.

Since my site is somewhat new(relaunched it), would it be better to use the ebook I was planning on making, as an article to put on my website?
