Guys, I'm writing some articles for a niche site of mine, and one of the searched-for terms is an article that I'd write with links to other things. Basically, think flash games, but a particular type.

I'm trying to get visitors and some adsense/CPA clicks, but the article would be useless unless I actually gave a few examples of WHERE online to find the subject of the article.

Would you guys actually link to a few places and be useful, or would you BS and not link to anything, knowing full-well that the article would be useless without showing the reader where to find these things online?

So, actually provide content they are looking for and risk losing them to another site, or BS with no links?

    Thanks.

Talk about them, provide pictures even, but only have minimal (or no) live links going out. Stick ads / cpa in amongst your content. Test whether your CTR is higher with or without you linking out.

Talsin, that was my thought too...I figure the last thing I want to do is link to something that provides me absolutely no value. I did, however, work in adsense in..and those ads are fairly spot-on, so that should help.
