So i was wondering if it is even possible to get good money for articles any more? I mean can you actually get work on a place like elance.com?

There are so many experienced members bidding it is hard to get anything.

Is writing articles a good option for getting some easy predictable income anymore?

The best way to make some fast cash from writing especially if you write very fast, is to advertise your services in forums. It's a big business over by DP. If your are very quick you could have atleast $50 per day going to your Paypal.

It works a treat, but build up a portfolio first and increase your rates with experience.

Some get $25+ an article. not bad if you can do it in 15 mins!

I do provide articles and I have 11 writers and 2 editors. We've provided thousands of articles in ezinearticles.com for a single client.

Do not get me wrong, but if see that providing articles is not your thing than why not start up your sites and post on your own sites and earn from it.

Freelancing is quicker money than trying to earn from your site through adsense or affiliate marketing.

what is the best place to freelance do you think? Just DP or sign up for a site like getafreelancer or elance?

I recently shared a way to get unlimited number of 100% unique articles..
you should check it out and stop working around.

cheers

Nice question and you deserve a nice answer.

By providing articles, I know what exactly they are doing and tried to do it myself too :D

Just promote your service cheap as a newbie and also offer special incentive like... the first person to respond to your ad will get one free article with their order. Of course I'm talking about promoting yourself in a forum by starting a thread.

If you're using the articles to promote your website then yes, of course but if you're writing them to sell then it's very hard as most people charge around $4 per article which is obviously a very competitive price.
Most people charging at that price only write articles in bulk for people to ensure they are actually making a profit.
In answer to your question I wouldn't recommend you start unless you could offer it in combination with other services such as article submission to article directories.

Plus, you'll never know till you try.

Give it a shot and see how it works. Might work out better than you think!

lol I write up to 99 wpm, and have pretty good knowledge of English. If I could get 25 bucks for article - not bad at all? Where do I sign up?

Rather than sell the articles you write, why not put them up on your own site and then optimize for traffic and make money off that traffic?

Writing content to sell to whoever who'll make money off it seems to be monkey work slave labor to me. Work smart and capitalize on your skills.
