Maybe I just don't see it, but I searched for it some time, but how can I set up Static Pages in my Wordpress Blog, which aren't showing up in the main menu under the header of my template?

Hope you know what I mean - thanks for every help!

I use this plugin: hxxp://wordpress.0rg/extend/plugins/exclude-pages which does the trick. x's are t and 0 is o.

If I'm understanding you correctly, you can simply create a post and publish it. It will be available to be browsed, but it won't show up on any menus unless you have the 'recent posts' widget active.

Or do you want a static page for your index page? if so, you can only have 1 static page setup. For that you create a new Page and then under Settings you select that page from the dropdown for static pages.
