I noticed that it is not generating links for my tags... only URL of posts, categories, and some static URLs...not with tags.. If tags are not included in sitemap, I could say this plugin is useless... any views?

    Thanks

Is there any plugin that includes tags in the sitemap? I don't think so.. that's the way it goes.

Yes, the free sitemap generator (xml-sitemap . com) generates all links but free version has limitation of 500 links..

Tags are what makes your blog visible to search engines and if they are not indexed, it's useless...

This simply isn't true, in fact, there are some that would argue that listing your tag pages in a sitemap would be a poor decision because they essentially point to content you've already provided links to.

However, if you've convinced yourself of this strange fallacy, you can check out this plug-in, which provides the option of including your tag pages:
    Code:
    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/google-sitemap-generator/

Including tag pages is a really bad idea.

The only SEO benefit from tags is for links from the tag directories like Technorati. If your own tag pages are indexed they block up the SERPs results, tend to outrank your content pages (REALLY bad) and unnecessarily confuse the bots - remember that the bots will always take the most restrictive linking directive and you want to ideally have just straight FOLLOW,INDEX menu links and in-text hyperlinks.
