    Hey..

Is it possible to have WP running in a main domain and have other completely unrelated WP builds running in subdomains and each WP build is its own site really?

Yes you can do that, just install wp onto your subdomain or if you like a subdirectory

So I have it up and running in subdomains now.. I figured it was better to take action and try it than wait for an answer. Does anyone know of a way i can copy the plugins settings from the first database into the other databases?

Setup your site like a network (wordpress.com). They all share the same plugins/themes and any changes to those will get applied to all networks. Basically, setup your site so its like wordpress.com (wordpress.com being the main site, subdomain.wordpress.com being the separate installs).

Every site needs to be exclusive of the other sites when it comes to posts though. thats why I went with 4 individual wordpress sites running in subdomains instead of wordpress multisite.

How do I copy the whole database? Export (drop Tables) import? How do I go back into the database and change the domains? There is no way to just export and import the plugins settings?
