I have all of my WP autoblogs set up so that commenting is NOT allowed. Is there any reason whatsoever then for me to have the Akismet plugin activated?

The Akisment plugin is for stopping comment spam. If no one can comment on your blog, then you don't need Akisment activated.

I thought so, but I wanted to be 100% sure.
I'll get rid of it then.

I had it on all of my autoblogs.
Obviously, it requires a reg key in order to work.
I used the same reg key for all 30 of my autoblogs.
Now, I cannot comment on any WP blogs.
I think my IP addresses has been blocked as spam.
I figure the connection must have been made by WP (not hard connection to make, but...)

Just a warning to anyone who uses it: DON'T use the same wordpress API keys on all of your autoblogs. It's an admission that you're basically a spammer.
