I'm a veteran at this.. Have been posting for 6 months on cl usually about 200-500 ads per day using cl bot. Within the last couple of days I can't even get 1 ad to stick all ads are taken down by the "cl community" in other words there bots. They all come down within minutes of posting them. Anyone having in success posting in the "for sale" section??? Anybody else having any major issues???

    Funny,

I was about to post about the exact same issue.. I'm a pretty light poster, getting back into the swing of it after a few months of developing a few more money sites strictly for CL.. Dropped 35 Image ads today in the jobs sections.. 100% stick rate... one hour later, all but one are gone.. The one remaining ad is in the UK... Go Figure.. Had 3 of 35 with the actual "removed by community" email, but the rest.. nothing.. Was not quite sure if it was a CL bot are a pro flagger.. Also, I would not rule out competition.. Actually, on some pages, there was only one advertiser left standing, same advertiser... If I go through it again, and my ads are flagged while there's stay, I'm going to think it is competition.. I would hate to go flag crazy on an advertiser that didn't deserve it.. Everyone deserves the same chance at earning an income... the trick should be simply getting them to fall.. Not getting them to fall and worrying about your competition taking them down.. Hard enough to make it work as is...

It has been killing me too just posting manually even and changing IPs and MACs and everything and after I post, every ad is gone or they put the account on "Hold" I think it is more CL then it is competition or the community.

I can help. Can you guys answer these for me:

    1. How many are you posting PER day? Per IP? Per account / email?
    2. Are you posting with PVAs, non-pvas or emails?
    3. Are you posting TEXT ads or IMAGE ads?

Let me know and your boy shall shed light! :D

Posting on CL is hard enough these days.. If it is the community and not the poster, then I just started the war... I will test another campaign shortly... Will have a better sense of whats happening then...

I'm posting image ads with gmail accounts.. rotating, urls, and images.. rotating ip from cable modem in a safe ip range. No pva's needed.. Worried, because I cant control the ips in the range, but I can rotate them...

    Thanks...

I'm telling you craigslist has to have a database of flagged ads that there bots check against to see if new ads have the same text or close to the same text as flagged ads

If it is not the "craigslist community" flagging your post, it can be competitors. I've had my posts at times flagged within seconds even though I would use unique IPs, emails, and unique post content...While another competitor's ad with similar advertising stays. That is how I know when it is a competitor.

I just need to get it right.. Is the "remove by community" email, is that sent by actually the community flagged posts? How does that work.. can anyone shed some light?

    Other users flagged your AD.
The "community" is you, me and every other ridiculously good looking person viewing CL. ;)

So it could be average CL browsers, jerks, competition... anyone.

There has to be a difference between the ads being flagged and removed with emails being sent, and the ones that are being removed without emails being sent.. That is what I'm trying to pin down...

As in they are now non-PVA accounts? Like I was saying you HAVE to put up on post on ANY new PVA within 10-12 hours or it reverts to non PVA.

    PM me for the fix.

I posted 6 image ads myself 2 hours ago for real tangible goods I'm trying to sell. They are not up yet and I noticed that the post logic has changed a bit from 3-4 months ago.

Here the thing peeps. There's 2 different ways of receiving or not receiving flagged notices for flagged ads.

It usually works that the first 2 or 3 ads that cl sees as posted by the same person receives a flagged off notice. Any ads flagged off after that you receive no notice.

As a rule, if you don't receive any flagged notice, even for the first flagged ad, then it is cl that auto flagged your ads. This means they're on to your ads or your accounts, or all of your ads have the same prohibited something in them.

Or they just ghost the ads before they even post.

I will tell you one thing though. Since the beginning of this month cl is able to track who is who through something more than just IP address, cl account, email account, or what have you.

I'm pretty up on proxies and how they work but now I'm not so sure how their headers come across to the servers they visit. There must be something in them that cl is able to track. Or it's something to do with how or if cookies are enabled or not through the use of the proxies (sorry this shows how much I don't know about proxies even though I had felt pretty confident before).

But the main point here is cl has some other way of tracking the same user if through different ip addresses (proxies).

Are they using more sophisticated methods like some of the more secure sites like Ebay, Paypal (same ownership as Ebay), and/or Google?

From the first march's days , any ad i submit to CL , it will be ignored,no ad posted.
especially to the US, CA,UK cities ...
May be because I'm from outside US ?? :(

now, I can't advertise after hours of work :ebay: , no ads no money, no chance!

All the public proxies are bad? any other methods?

Any one can help me, pls IM me.

Yes, thats because you're outside of US and you try to post in US/CAN cities.

Most of the public proxies were already used / abused by alot of people. Hence, 99.9% wont neither.

Your best bet is either get private proxies (and be very careful with them) or hire a reliable poster, so that you can get your business going again. No time wasted.

Now this is the kind of thing I'm talking about. They are causing many people to lose money. And they just don't seem to care.
