Hi, would you use a .org for an amazon affiliate site?
No, "I" wouldnt.
No. If the unofficial rule is that .org is for nonprofits, then people expect a nonprofit website. I have no data to back this up though, so..
Even non profits need money to operate
But not by amazon affiliates. When I go to a .org I expect information about the cause or similar, but not a nonprofit that tries to sell me things for pure profit. That is not nonprofit.
I mean, people do not really look at it, but I would stay away from it if possible.
What if it's a non-profit organization that's selling on Amazon?
Only if it helps me in ranking better (i.e if benefits of ranking is more)
Selling what? That just seems like a company is advertising their products on amazon.
If I were to go to a .org and saw that it is 80% selling products, and 20% actual information about the cause, then I don't see how it is a nonprofit. Even donation websites don't go that hardcore.
Nonprofits shouldn't be made into profits in mind, it is about the cause. If I see a nonprofit, and it focuses on profit, I won't really consider staying on that website, as it completely defeats the purpose of it and I won't trust it. These, of course, are entirely my thoughts, and most people don't know that .org websites are almost a standard for nonprofit websites.
All of this, of course, is entirely irrelevant, as BHW is about making a profit.
I got .org and .net sites and both are earning really good amount every month. But both are expired domains. Hope you get the idea.
This is marketing, who gives a shit if the "unofficial"rule is that .org is non profit. I use them for niche sites that are monetized purely because of the trust factor.
But I must admit for an amazon site it looks weird.
How do you sleep at night using a .Org for a PBN domain!
Ok i'll go with this answer
Looks to me as if you had set your mind on using a .org domain before even starting this thread. There are multiple replies stating that .org is for non-profit organizations and you chose the one to suit your frame of mind... Why ask if you wont take on board the advice?
First time to know its for non profit. I use them fir anything if I want the name and com,net are taken
are you assuming i went with a .ORG ?
but we are all doing blackhat
in the black hat world a exstention is just a exstention that it.
in busiess website Wight hat there are diffrent rules .
blackhat dont care
wight hat care
if you gonna be toughy with blackhat then dont do it.
How much stuff are you planning on selling through it> If it is just one thing it can be tied into the overall theme of the site/niche on any domain extension.
.org never suits for affiliate business sites which are in my point of view. So better to use other TLD for affiliate link websites.
