I've been a profitable Forex trader for 8 years. For a while now I've been kicking around the idea of writing an ebook that would fast-track wanna be Forex traders. The advice that I could supply would shave 2-4 years off the typical new trader's learning curve. I haven't done it because it's a significant time investment.

I've looked around, and most of the Forex ebooks out there are crap. I know there's a market, and I think there's an opportunity. It would be my first ebook, but I'm no stranger to writing. I regularly sell to Constant-Content, and in fact, one of my motivations for writing this is that I don't want to sell good forex advice articles for a one-time $50 or so. I want recurring income.

So I guess my question is, would you promote such a book? If not, why not?

I wouldn't. Because it's extremely saturated. That's the only reason...

For some reason, I thought about this last night, and I take back what I said.

ebooks will pay off for the rest of your life. You should write this! Even if the sales suck because of market saturation, if you do the proper SEO and even throw it up on clickbank and pay out a big commission, it will sell. You really shouldn't turn down an opportunity for passive income with zero risk.

Thanks guys. Much to think about.

Yeah, it's the passive income I want. I could break it down into articles and sell them on Constant Content for a decent chunk of change, but this doens't do anything for me long-term.

If I was interested in forex I would promote such a book.
I think you need to stop speculating too much and just get
started on the project already. You will never know how it will turn
out unless you actually do it.

Since the market is saturated, it would be good to
concentrate on marketing to a particular niche of people
for example, people in a particular city or country. I think
this could be a better approach than tagerting a general audience.
I think this, coupled with the other advice you have been given
+ your 8 years of succesful forex trading + a solid marketing
strategy should get you a killer ebook and some money in your bank.
