    Good morning all,

I've started to build a website around a CPA offer I've chosen, which is in the computer niche.
The CPA offer is one promoting some anti spyware tool.
The website I have built is the following:

I bought traffic by PPC, but the results are far from being what I've wished would happen. I got 102 clicks and only 2 actually clicked a link to the CPA offer, and none converted. So I burned some cash obviously and stopped the PPC campaign. Now, I'm trying to figure out whether it's my page looking scammy, the offer just being crap, PPC not being the right traffic source... no clue. Let me know!

    Regards,
    Steve

Maybe it's just me, but I didn't even notice your CPA banner on the side until I had to look for it.

Well I don't think the advert looks outdated, but I think it just blends in TOO well with the site. I can see where you tried to match exact colors which is the problem. I say go with something completely contrast to the blues, like red/white/black. Or you can just make the advert look like a real program in the middle of a virus scan.

So, im summary do you think a shiny or animated "scan now" button replacing the banner would convert better?

Well, I believe I should give it a try. I have nothing to lose other than a few more non-converting clicks, which is what I already have.

Do you know where I can grab such a button ? I found one a few days ago but decided not to use it as it was too scammy in my opinion. But that's probably the way to go.

I've changed the banner on all landing pages right now
(as they differ depending on the ad advertising it)

You might have a look here:
Also, my ads running now are more targeted, but have way less impressions and clicks. I'll let it run like this a day or two and see if it changes anything. If not, I'll fire up again the "big" campaign where I got these 102 clicks and see if it converts better with the banner.

Yes, I've just stolen it from somebody else. :D

let me know what you think.

On the right hand nav you have 'Online Spyware Removal' and underneath it a registry cleaner advertisement - that won't work.

After some weeks of leaving the site "dead", i have re-animated it.
I removed most of the pages and just have the main page with blog posts on it.
Also, I swapped the CPA offer with a CB product.

I have no funds available right now to test PPC, so I will rely on SEO traffic. Might take some more weeks to get there.

Thanks for letting me know your feedback about the updated site.

Why are you going for the whole blog post perspective, why not a squeeze page which usually have good conversion rates?

My hoplink goes to a squeezepage of the actual vendor of the product. I believe, putting a squeeze page in front of another squeeze page is not going to work out great. What do you think?

Instead of setting up a whole blog just rank a few domains high related to your product and do a 301/302 redirect straight to the vendor with your affiliate link, you should also try craiglist targeting.
