Would using an expired, aged domain pointed at my site help boost ranking?

Lately I have been on a bit of a kick since discovering ExpiredDomains and have been grabbing up a bunch of aged, fairy decent domains at regular price. Some of them I don't have a use for, but are quite old from years like 2003 and such.

I know that if I were to build a site with these domains they would have more authority due to their age, but if I used them as a redirect and pointed them at one of my existing sites, would any of that authority or link juice transfer over?

Of course it's not going to make my site incredibly powerful over night, but would it be something worth doing?

    Thanks.

Yes they would help for sure. you can also set them up as standalone sites that link to the money site - a network of those is called a pbn - private blog network

Ah okay! Thank you! I'm starting to get a handle on what a PBN is all about, basically my money site is a blog I update everyday with new content and I was having trouble defining a PBN because most results seemed to just be about selling them.

So using some of those aged domains and just making basic index.html pages with a "click here to enter" or something of the sort would qualify as a PBN and make my money site stronger?

There are many PBN Information Threads here on BHW. Please use the search button and you'll find plenty of them, especially the last one by lightninblitz is very useful.

Age alone will not do squat for powering seo. It's the quality of the back links that the age domain has that matters.

You can use them as PBNs if you want to boost multiple websites, or 301 redirect them if you have your focus upon a single important website.

There are over 250 million domain names registered and hundreds of thousands of domain names that expire annually. From domain names that are worthless to the most scarce and sought after premium domain names that could drive millions of dollars in revenue and traffic in visitors, expired domain names have been thought by some as a cost-effective way to generate and increase website traffic.More importantly, it has been thought that expired domains that ranked well in search engines provided and search engine optimization (SEO) advantage.Expired domains are thought to transfer their SEO juice and favor to other websites.
