Hi guys, over the last couple of weeks I've been developing a tool to bulk create Reddit accounts and to vote on submissions. For anyone that doesn't know what Reddit is, it's a huge link sharing site with over 50 million active users who can all vote on submissions (upvotes/downvotes). Getting to the frontpage of /all would basically mean you'd receive over a million views on your page. Now, to the technical aspects: It's actually a lot tougher than I imagined, since the registration requires captchas and because of the vote fuzzing that reddit utilizes. However, I was able to create a good 500 accounts and they all seem to work and haven't been shadow-banned or suspended. To avoid them getting banned in the future, I also made another tool that randomizes the behavior of the bots, which means they submit links, vote on random comments and threads not related to them, subscribe to subreddits, etc... It seems to work pretty well so far. The trickiest part was (and still is) developing the voting bot. Reddit has a very aggressive anti-spam system that fuzzes the DISPLAYED vote count and randomly changes it. However, the 'invisible' vote count still exists, and even if the displayed votes seem low, the thread (or link) continues rising to the top. My voting bot uses proxies (a sh*t-ton) to vote on a thread. Every 3 or 4 votes it also starts downvoting the thread by a small number and has long delays between votes. My question to you guys would be now: Is there any interest in buying bulk reddit accounts (since it's really not easy to write your own bot for that)? I'm not selling right now because I know this is the wrong subforum for that (and I'm only asking if there's interest) and I wouldn't sell the vote bots or votes for a while since it's not 100% done yet. Once that is ready and there's enough interest, I'll probably start a site to sell them or sell the bot. Tell me what you think or if I'm wasting my time.
