Would it make sense to get a separate hosting account for all my BH sites?

I do WH and host my sites with Hostgator right now.

Would it make sense to make a separate hosting account for just my BH sites? I guess it'll at least be easy then to keep things a bit more managed.

In that case, which host would you recommend (i.e., a host that's not very squeamish about spam)? Also, should I get a host that'll give me multiple class C IP?

    Any help will be appreciated.

Hi re "should I get a host that'll give me multiple class C IP"

Yes, the more IP's in seperate c-class blocks that you can spread your "spam" across the better

i believe best practice is not to use the same IP , not to interlink them directly if on the same IP .

if your are doing anything the could result in a ban keep it as far away as possible. different regester , different hosting, different whois info.

Get as many as you can afford for the projects you are working on.

Hide and Fake your Whois, and dont interlink sites on the same hosts - spread a network across your hosts.

Quick tip - check the IP of the host using ping - and compare - this way you dont end up with crossed reseller accounts.

Can anyone provide any hard evidence that they de-index all websites on the same IP address. Many of the big hosting companies have 100's of websites on the same IP address, chances are that some of those sites are BH.

I can easily see you might get one site de-indexed but to index all the sites on that same IP might piss a lot of people off.
I guess that is a risk you run with shared hosting,

I used a combo of both shared, dedicated and Class C.
    Spread the risk around.
Also use different domain registration accounts and companies.

There's a lot of conflicting info floating around online, but for $10 more per month, hell I don't care. I'll get 2, maybe more hosting accounts.

    Spam is nice ;)
