    Hey Guys,

Just woke up and as always I am full of ideas.

I was thinking about how there is really no efficient way to exchange upvotes and downvotes (likes or dislikes) on youtube. Beside skype exchange groups, which are OK.

I had a thought. What if I made a website that's whole purpose was to upvote and downvote videos, and your participation influences this directly.

    For Example:

1.) I want a video down voted because it is a direct competitor to my website, is pretty much spam, and all the link juice is going towards it, wasting everyone's time.
2.) Request the Video to be Upvoted or Downvoted.
    3.) Request Confirmed
4.) Placed in appropriate upvote or downvote forum
5.) OP states video, reason, and goal
5.) User scrolls through forum sees "work" to be done, picks a thread.
6.) Use states how many votes they are throwing.
6.) After they throw the votes they mark where they voted (10 thumbdowns | Start 30 - 40 End)
7.) They are credited for their contribution. (10 votes = 10 contribution points)
8.) They go through the forum and choose another job to complete.

Now here is why it all works. It will 'cost' OP let's say 10 contribution points to make an upvote thread and 25 contribution points to make a downvote thread. (Try to quality control a bit)
He had to send a total of 35 likes/dislikes (I am assuming we all have multiple gmail accounts) to post one upvote and one downvote thread.

Therefore creating a sustainable practice, which builds off itself. (The more you can vote, the more you can post.)

Allowing people an incentive for participating, or even have an extra tool if they ever have the need to have a video up or downvoted. (Participate and store some contribution points for later)

I was also thinking maybe get some promo to the first 100 users that would join (5$ in bitcoins or something to join and make an initial free post).

Anyway, does anyone have thoughts on the idea?

I highly doubt this would work out. Who's going to moderate the points being added and things like that? That's too much manual work needed to be done if there are many people in your community.

I imagine it would start out small, so a screenshot is more than enough. Obviously after a period of time it would have to adapt and grow with the userbase, but initially I see no issue with that, and obviously none if it remained tight knit.

Do you have any other concerns?

It means that if you have to downvote a video so you can out rank it or get it deleted from Youtube so your video can get to the top that you are lacking in many positive qualities that make a successful businessman, a successful Internet Marketer and perhaps it exposes some of your personal ethics and qualities as well.

I see you have many posts, but I believe you are missing the point. It's simply an exchange, in which one of the two options result. It can be for a variety of reasons. These already exist everywhere, but the YouTube exchanges are weak. I am asking if this service is desired for YouTube by anyone on BHW currently. That's really all.

Additional Note: A YouTube video can't be deleted simply due to dislikes.
