Hi there! Allow me to first introduce myself. I've been an active lurker of BHW for some quite some time. I am both a software developer and an internet marketer. I do it all. Anyways, I decided to sign up for BHW because I'd like your formal opinion on product and plan on actually contributing some content, answering questions, and contributing to the forum.

Moving on, my product is an antivirus/system performance booster. It is very capable of removing a lot of software that other antivirus software cannot. I have over 10 years experience in PC security, and over 5 years of programming experience. I decided to create my own product because I found that other software that I could promote did not do the job. All software that would sale and have decent rates did not pickup on what I'd like it to. Therefore, I decided to create my own. I have my own payment gateway, support system, and everything.

I have been promoting my own software for quite some time, mainly through Google Adsense and similar services, and local advertising (I have connections with local businesses.) It recently occurred to me that there is a huge market online that I am missing, and the best way to target that market is through an affiliate system.

Basically, here is a rundown of my software:
    • Antivirus/AntiSpyware/Anti-Malicious software (in general) with PC Optimization tools
    • Requires registration to removal detected items. Prompts the user to purchase the software when they go to remove a detected item.
    • Software is very lightweight, fast installation (so users do not back out), and works exceptionally well.
    • I can add new items for the software to detect within seconds. I have my own "database updater" software developed for personal use.
I wish to have the best relationship with affiliates as possible, including one-on-one email and Skype support. For example: if an affiliate needs a malicious item added to the database, I can do that. This is something the "others" cannot do. I can pay 60% share to affiliates, perhaps 75% for those who bring in a lot of sales.

Simply put, I have a lot of time and effort put into creating software that converts very well (for example: on PC boot up, the machine will run a scan in the background, then show the user the detected items, prompting for registration to remove the items.) That, with positive communication with affiliates, is how I plan to succeed.

This is a very profitable, yet competitive field. I understand that completely. I feel as with my skill and knowledge, I can overcome the competition. I have the better product, the upper hand. All I need are good affiliates to promote the software.

I'd really hate to throw out a link to my software, because - being my first post - I feel as you guys would take it that I'm just promoting my own software and do not plan on contributing to the community. I know you guys love clickbank, and I may publish the software (under a new name) on ClickBank.

If you have any questions, concerns, would like to know more, or just want to chat - feel free to personal message me or post here. You may leave your Skype username if you'd like for me to add you.

    Thank you for your time!

P.S: For those wondering how this type of software is usually promoted:
Adware, software that is basically filled with advertisements, annoying pop-ups, and may be hard to remove is bundled with a lot of popular, legitimate software installers. Take Ask toolbar for example - that's an example of adware. Millions of people google "How to remove X", or "X Removal guide" (X being the software name) daily. With proper SEO, or targeting marketing, you can target this audience and redirect them to my software - which will detect this adware (and, if it doesn't, you can just message me and I will update it to detect it within minutes.)

On top of that, this software makes for a great antivirus/antispyware product in general. I have a completely heuristic-based scanning engine (I use signature scanning for adware only, except for a few exceptions) that is capable of removing a very, very good majority of viruses without database updates.

How about linking to your product? Is there a free trial?
How much is it sold for?
Just because you think you have the better product doesn't mean you will be successful in taking on the giants.
Might be better to approach a smaller AV company and offer them a licensing deal.
Truthfully, I think most people use free software or one of the big names.

    Agreed with W130SN.

When you are launching product in security software land,

your going to face some serious competition.

Maybe you should offer a trial or a free period

    then monetize the back-end.
