I have a blog that has been around for years. I get about 200-300 visits per day now after all of these Google updates the last 2 years.

I read that Amazon Autoblogs will never rank or be indexed since it is duplicate content.

However, I was thinking of creating an Amazon Autoblog and using it as a store section for my website. People that visit the site learn free information about my niche and if they see that I have a store they may be inclined to browse it and purchase something.

My only fear is if I set up this Amazon Autoblog on my current website, that it will hurt my rankings even more.

Anyone know the answer to this?

IMHO, if you want an amazon autoblog just to make a quick buck, but you're not looking to rank with it, then why don't you just disallow it? This way even if it's duplicate content, Google will know that you don't want to rank those pages. Of course, there's no guarantee that big G will give you a break, but, as far as I know, it's the best way to ensure that your site keeps its rankings and traffic.

You do this from robots.txt - check it out on Google how to do it. Basically, this way you tell G that you don't want that part of the site to be counted.
