    Hi,

While looking at something completely different, I came across an expired domain name (.com) that previously had internal pages with PR.

My question is, if I bought this domain and put these pages back on the site, would they 'automatically' gain a level of PR due to the previous backlinking etc done on it?

Ok it wont be the same level, but my thinking is that it could be worth it to quickly build upon (these pages can still be checked on backlink checker websites etc although the domain has expired + were directly linked from external sites).

After a little looking, ive been able to find the following internal page PR's:

    2 x PR4
    1 x PR3
    1 x PR2

Now there may have been more, I dont know... So what do you all think?

    What would YOU do?

I would buy it. Most of the time the PR comes back after 3 months of n/a as long as the content is in the same general subject area and the backlinks do not get deleted.

Not much to lose but $9. Just make sure it is not blacklisted or fake PR.

Google the domain name and see if you get anything. If it was previously registered, it should show up with something. It took me 4-5 weeks to get a domain that was blacklisted to show again. You just have to tell Google you just bought it and you're not the previous owner and would like it to show again in the SE.
