Hello BHW, about a week ago i began researching auto blogging. first of all i just want to say in the week i have been cruising this forum i have found so much great information and decided to give auto blogging a shot. with that said i just wanted some feedback on my auto blog. i have heard that it is best to work on one at first to get a feel for it, this is what i have been doing for the past few days. I know i still have alot to learn about auto blogging and trafficing but i just wanted a bit of feedback on my on how my blog is looking, and if i am missing any crucial plugins or anything of that sort.

thanks and i am happy to be apart of BHW!

To be honest, I was kind of bored with the homepage, and becuase of that I wouldn't personally search the rest.

I think it's too dark. Maybe brighten it up a bit, and input some more images, videos, etc.

    Also, where's you're adsense?

You've taking a big step with this first autoblog... good job! I think you could have a more larger (colorful) header/banner, more images... looks decent...

Thanks for the feedback ill look into changing the color scheme. i just began working with integrating adsense into my blog today, if you click to read the whole post the adsense is there. i am not quite sure how get the adsense plugin for WP to show my ads on the homepage rather than just the main post. any suggestions?

    Decent looking site,
What auto content plug-in are you using to get the pics in?

Site seems light enough as far as color goes.
    Keep tweak-in it.

    Still don't see the adsense.

Whenever I click a post, it takes me to another site. Is that intentional?

    check out shezboy's method.

It will give you a good base to build on. I like to build 4 or 5 at a time, then copy my best one and build 4 or 5 more and repeat, testing different plugins each time. eventually you will have a good looking "final" product.

I was just about to ask what SCM03 did... personally I would have it setup to take an excerpt or the full feed and then have a link at the bottom to the original article. As it sits whomever is coming to your site is going to leave it immediately when they follow a link, and with sites like ars technica, they might stay there for more information.

What are you using for fetching new feeds? wp-robot? autoblogged? something else?

it looks like you are only fetching from Ars and slashdot, I would look for more sites to pull from so you have a variety of informaiton, with you direct linking to the article, anyone glancing at other articles on your site before going finally going to one, is going to notice that Ars/slashdot has all the same as yours and more, so they are far more likely to stay than come back and read more articles you have or click on your ads, which I dont seem to see either.

My guess is you are using feedwordpress, and you forgot to disable the link-to-source option.

NikoInc: Im using wp-o-matic for my autofeed and i also use it for pictures i just have it set save the images in the cache folder. and im not sure why my adsense isn't working right, i have been trying to setup the DNS registrar with lunarpages for adsense not sure if that has anything to do with it.

ed_banger: i actually turned on link-to-source of wp-o-matic on accident good lookin out =D

just one more question, is there a good thread out there with info on setting up ads on my homepage?

thanks for all the great feedback again guys
