Words Composition Per Min/Hr



According to statistics (Computer users circa 1998) the average is


? 19 words per minute for composition

? 1,140 words per hour for composition

This is not typing speed just hitting the keys reading off the content draft.

19 words per minute, are based on the writer both thinking the word flow then keying in the words?

I can do 19 words per minute in spurts, but no way can I keep going to do 1,140 words per hour for composition.

What can others do?

If I'm writing an article about a subject I'm knowledgeable about and I'm on a roll, about twice that much. A tip though........ don't edit yourself as you go. That's what Grammarly is for. Editing on the run disrupts your train of thought and that is very detrimental is getting good copy out quickly.
